Diamond Chili and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

November 17th, 2006 - 1:01 am KY Time

Hello dear hound lovers. Here is my Diamond Chili recipe for your weekend pleasure. This is for the humans and not the hounds! As you can see Lily and Chloe are the diamond hounds!

298

2 pounds of the best ground beef you can find
1 chopped onion

1-3 jalaepenos – to your taste

6 oz can tomato paste

10.5 oz can tomato soup

15 oz can diced tomatoes

Two 15 oz cans of chili hot beans (most super markets carry this)

12-15 oz applesause (secret ingredient)

1 oz package hot chili seasoning mix, look in the sauce section of your store.
Crushed garlic to taste – careful!

INSTRUCTIONS:

Brown the beef along with the onion and jalapenos. Drain greese.

Slow cook then add tomato paste, tomato soup, diced tomatoe, the beans, apple sauce, chili seasonings, and garlic. Stir it up

Let it simmer for the better part of the day or until you cannot stand it anymore! When that happens, Get out the TX toast, butter, add your choice of cheese. Make sure the pan is hot. You want a sear on the bread. My favorite cheese is sharp chedder.
Slice the grilled cheese sandwich in a fashion that is good for dipping. Sit back and listen to your company say Yummmmmmmmmmm. Or just enjoy on your own.

Have a great weekend! Love Cat, Chaps, and Emma….More Later
