Hey Maggie! I bet Maisy is so cute. I wish you would send me a picture!

You can at:

cat@bassethoundtown.com

That is too odd about the KY connection. Do you remember where you got her?

Have a great day!

Awww, ya'll! Thanks so much for your kind words (you too, Mom!) I did the easy part, ya'll took care of the heavy lifting and I was just amazed at how quickly everyone sprang into action to help these little woofers! One more connection that Susan didn't mention...our Bubba ATB who looks like Plato IS the bassedor puppy of Susan's husband's niece's (man, this is starting to sound like an episode of Dr. Phil!)dog that she mentioned. Which I guess makes Susan his aunt!

Hi Lynne's Mom. You raised her up right! I am so touched by her kindness. Can you believe how many folks she made happy, not to mention the hounds!!!!

Lynne saved souls and added to families. There is nothing better than that. NOTHING.

Nice to meet you Elizabeth!

Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

OMG Susan, that is one of the fantastic things that I left out! I totally forgot about that. I am so glad that you updated us on this and the foster home situation.

If it were not for you, I would have never known about this. I love working with you. Cat

There is another connection I think ought to be noted--when I emailed Lynne to thank her for stepping up, it was discovered that one of her hounds ATB had been adopted from my old rescue, Mid America, and she had actually adopted the bassedor puppy of a female basset that my husband's niece turned over to us in 1998!! AND Lynne and I both have rescued bassets from Houston's Lone Star Basset Rescue :)

As we at Bluegrass are always in over our heads, it was fabulous that others stepped up to the plate and were able to help these three. In the past, other members of this rescue would have spoken for all three even with no place to put them, and it would turned into a nightmare. I made the executive decision to let someone else work on these. Cat and her angels came thru!!!

I should amend Cat's posting in that we actually have 3 foster homes in KY, but one can only take one foster at a time (and she has one now), one has too many dogs already in it, and then there's my house, where we can always make temporary room for one more. I just can't keep them long term. Still, 3 foster homes for 43,000 sq miles of bluegrass state is w-a-y too few!!!
