Bruce & Gretchen: Yes, I take the visor off and clean it and try to give her a break. It is very difficult, because we are full swing into the itching/healing process and it is automatic that her paw comes right up to the surgery site. Her break times are getting more and more spread out because of it.

I am getting ready for a belly up session right now, so I will rub in your honor! LOL

Poor Emma. She is such a rock star. Do you get to take the visor off to clean it and let Emma get a few moments of freedom? Or is it one of those situations where it has to stay on until it comes off for good? Belly scratches to her and chaps!

Maureen, the cone is more confining. She cannot sleep as well and Chaps is scared of it. Emma also throws up from anxiety while wearing the cone. The Optivisor is better four paws up!

It has been a very rough 7 days for our family.

We are counting the days down sweet Emma and praying everyday that this goes by quickly for you! You don't deserve this, but your sweet spirit will bless many because of it!

This just rips my heart out to see Sweet Emma in this condition. I know she's getting better, but this must be horrible for her. Wouldn't a cone be less confining?

Emma - glad to hear you are on the mend. It sure helps when you can get out an enjoy the beautiful fall weather. That keeps everyone's spirit up.

Keep getting stronger, sweetie. Maybe Chaps will bring home an extra donut if he can find them in the breakroom at work!!!!

Keep well all of you.
