Lois, that was a very good point. She must have been very hungry. I remember a good friend of my asking her neighbor to watch her dogs for a weekend and the neighbor forgot. The dogs were left for 3 days with nothing. My friend left them in the garage to be let out 3 times a day and fed in the home for play time. Thank Dog they were OK when she returned but the you can imagine what they looked like.

Lois is the best dog care giver I know of.

I totally agree with everyone, except if you are having me watch your hounds! LOL! I am watching my sister’s dogs and they are treated like gold. I am on the extra safe side. Plus I have Grandma and Grandpa to help me. My sister is so thankful. I wish I had a webcam to show everyone. I will have more on my blog soon…

We usually have ours board at our Vet clinic. This way if something goes wrong they are on the ball, plus some of ours have health issues. I know the friend meant well and never dreamed of such a accident. Just thank God she is well and no issues from this.

I agree with Lois. More stories of this kind or worse – where dog is lost or killed, happen when a “friend” takes care of someone’s dog. Go with the professionals. They know how to keep the dog safe much better than a friend.

poor poor dog…..what don’t they feed her food????? glad everything turned out all right! does she at least get into the guiness book for this????

ya know sometimes it is just better to pay for a dog sitter or a good stay away place than use a friend….i mean accidents can happen anywhere but really i think ya cut your chances with someone who does it for a living…

Poor girl….glad she is recovering. Luckly it turned out on a good note. It is a hard leason to learn, but teaches us that you can never be to carefully.
