Well, here we are on the eve of a new year…

December 31st, 2012 - 2:02 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and New Year Lovers.  I for one am looking forward to the new year with much hope.  I will be glad to see 2012 in the past.  I have many plans for the future and I look forward to sharing them with the residents.

For now…

The Mayor’s son, Colby Chaps wants to wish you a very safe New Year’s Eve and a bright and beautiful 2013.

Colby Chaps looks like howl I feel.  I don’t think I will be ringing in the new year but ya never know.

What will you be doing?

More wanting all of you to be safe and sound later….Cat, Chaps and Emma ATB wearing their collar bells so Mommy can hear them at midnight.

    Dear Cat and Grandma,

Happy New Year to you BOTH and wishing you that next year will bring you PEACE in heart and mind and you are both in my heart and prayers!

Thank you for sharing Coby Chaps and he too looks forward to 2013 in anticipation for a wonderful year ahead!

To us too it was a year to remember as we lost our beautiful hound and it was the first Christmas without him. You will never know what a lifeline you have been to us!

We love you and hugs to all and may the Lord bless you and keep you!

Cat, I am wishing you, Grandma, and all the residents of our fair Town a safe and happy New Year–although it’s so difficult to be happy through the sadness of losing Chaps so suddenly:( Never forget that both he and Emma are walking beside you on silent paws, always and forever…Listen for the tinkling of bells–Chaps surely has his angel wings now:)

may you & grandma be surrounded by peace & love this new year!

for us..well we just want to be surrounded by a house that is still standing & hurricane safe & rebuilt. tonight we are staying home & making onion soup. for the new year i want the housing situation to be resolved & want to see my town & the jersey shore rebuilt & climb back out of the sandy hole it has been in.

we have had some early fireworks already today. worker guys next door managed to destroy a transformer. much smoke, sparks & flame. yippee.

anyway. happy new year to all. may it be happy, healthy & safe.

I am ready for 2012 to pass too. I hope 2013 is much better. And I look forward to your plans!

Unfortunately, we will be about 45 mins on the highway (one way) traveling to a friends house for a party tonite. And it’s supposed to be foggy and raining so that won’t help. But, we know the roads very well and plan on taking our time.

We wish everyone a very Happy and safe New Year and I just want to kiss Colby Chaps’ big droopy face.

We are making pumpkin cake and will all be in bed long before midnight.

I love what Mary said about Chaps and Emma walking beside you on silent paws … what a pleasant and peaceful image.

I hope all the residents have safe and peaceful entry into 2013 and that this year brings us all joy and security.

Cat and Grandma … I love you.

    Cat,

New Year’s isn’t a favorite holiday of mine, so even though I have been invited to a house party I plan to stay home with Slinky, and enjoy a good murder mystery and a glass of wine.

I hope you are feeling better these days, and take comfort that Emma and Chaps had the best of the best living with you.
