Thank you for coming to this page. This project was a labor of love for me. It took six years to accomplish my dream. I never stopped my quest to tell Lily's story. I spent years researching, planning, and saving for this adventure. From the beginning my vision was to use photography and graphic design for my children's book. With that in mind, I wrote Lily's story. Next, I sketched out a rough draft for each page of my vision and looked through my hundreds of photographs for the perfect images. For example, the picture of Lily with the tear drop is a combination of 8 to 10 photographs of her. This page took approximately 80 hours to complete. I knew how I wanted her to look and this is where the graphic artist comes in. I had been working with Lisa, a graphic artist, on other projects. I decided to end those projects and concentrate on the Lily book. Lisa and I were only able to work together, on the average of 5 hours per week. Each week Lisa would take my visions and put them on my MacIntosh. Then, I would make my corrections and she would incorporate them into the next week's session. This was a long drawn out process that we shared many laughs over.

Years later when the project was artistically finished, Lisa was able to use her production experience to set up this entire project in a format that my printer in China needed. I was fortunate enough to be working with a graphic artist who also had the technical experience to format the project correctly.
