Very pretty girl!

The National Specialties from Oconomowoc WI (35 miles west of Milwaukee) where 167 Basset Hounds showed up for the regular classes of the Basset Hound Club of America’s National specialty this week. Marjorie Wikerd BOB was GCH CH Blossomhill’s Mamma Mia. BOS was CH Olde Fashion Talk About Buckeye Luck, BOW/WB was Soundtrack Grand Illusion, & WD (from the 9-12 Month Puppy class) was Topsfield Corkery Oscar Renta.

Violet is bred and owned by Suzanne Sukey Shor and handled by Mike Stone.

Remember that next year the Nationals are being held about 10 minutes from Basset Hound Town. We already have our rooms reserved. I know it is close but I want to be where all the action and hounds are. The Mayor will parade around the ring one more time in the veterans class. He is a champion you know!

Here he is in his past life. I bet he did not enjoy it too much. We will just have to wait and see if he really wants to do one more round.

Chaps5

Emma will be there to cheer him on, in her own special way, if he does. It should be fun. I will be reporting on the 2011 Nationals as things come up!

More cheering on the Mayor later! Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

You will be shocked pawhaps with the Chaps. my Melba Tost was a champion here in the US and n Canada, i had never had her in the ring well i took her to Nationals one year and she went in that ring and took over even making me look good she got so many clappes and folks standing (becaue so many knew her) that she took me around the ring a second time. LOL then stacked her self at the end of her run. i will never forget that day!!
