If you wish to send a card please add a dollar and I will send it to House of Puddles in his name. He always said, “If you get a dollar from a lot of folks, it adds up.”
He cherished those who took care of Seniors. Humans and hounds alike.

Thank you Hospice. You changed my life for the better forever…..

Sometimes you just need your big sister….

February 27th, 2010 - 10:10 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and big sister lovers! Well, mine came up today from Atlanta. Sometimes you just need your big sis!

CindyCat

My big sis is a Doctor and we are so proud of her! She made our day much better today and will make it better tomorrow!

The kids love her like crazy!

Nin and kids

As you can see!

This was taken years ago. Tonight they attacked her when she came in. Emma sounded like a coyote in the wild. Nin said, “I never knew a girl hound could sound so loud!”

It was so funny, Cindy kept saying, “It ain’t a dog if it ain’t part hound”!
She had me laughing so hard. She kept saying that in a thick southern accent.

I really needed that. The kids love her…

More loving big sisters later…..Cat, Chaps and Emma (all hound)!

Do you wanna see a pic of Emma’s Great Grandma, Daisy?

February 26th, 2010 - 8:08 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Emma’s Great Grandma lovers! I thought that you might like to see a picture of Emma’s Great Grandma on her Mother’s side! Her name was Daisy!

daisylarge

My Mom and I actually were fortunate to meet her when we picked up our Emma. She looked amazingly like my Lily!

I so cherish these pictures! That is me hugging Lily. If Lily weighed a bit less her paws would have never touched the ground! hehehe

Did I ever show you these pictures of Chaps while he still lived in TX?

February 25th, 2010 - 3:03 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Chaps about 6 years ago lovers. I thought that I would share these pictures of the Mayor back when he was not the Mayor! He had no idea of the power that his title would provide him. He was just a wee boy of only 3 years old!

Just look at the hope in his face!

CR1

I remember when I received these pictures I printed them out and took them out to lunch with me that day. I was dining with my BFF Janie and I had the 2 shots displayed on our table. I would show everyone that walked by.

Chaps7

The pictures I had of Emma were not as clear so I had to wait for a new set.

Can you imagine howl proud I was? I was also very anxious and wanted to fly out that day to get him. Howl ever, Emma was too young to leave her Mommy…..

Oh the memories…..

I remember when we got to BoBac to pick himz up, I was sitting on a couch at the end of the kennel building and he came charging around the corner and down the pathway and took a flying leap right into my lap. That was one of the best moments of my life.

I am so glad I have that memory.

This was taken about 5 minutes later.

Just to let you know, our Grandpa is not doing well. Many of you have e-mailed me asking about Grandpa. I will have more information soon but for now, this is howl I want to think of himz and the Mayor…..

Both are the happiest in this picture. John Wayne Rudert and his best friend,
Chaps Wayne Rudert…..

Untitled-17

Getting ready to enjoying a late summer walk. It looks like rain, but that did not stop them. I think this was day 2 of bringing Chaps and Emma home from TX.

I must laugh because I remember Grandpa turning around and telling Chaps while chucking, “Let’s get away from all of these woman!” Grandpa was itching to show Chaps off.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and time flying lovers….or not! I found these pictures and it made me think of time flying.

Here is Emma the first night I brought her home to Kentucky. She slept in a kennel right next to Chaps and I in bed. She was the best sleeper ever! I had her sleep in the kennel for about 3 weeks. Then she figured out the bed! hehehe

I have always wanted a little shop….

February 20th, 2010 - 8:08 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and little shop lovers…..

I have always wanted a little shop but the time was never right. I still don’t think the time is right but I am moving closer to my time. I feel it.

I have a friend, Carolyn Bardo, who has a pretzel sandwich shop in this little quaint district of Bellevue Kentucky. It is called Twister Sisters. Isn’t that cute?

She told me that a shop has opened up and get this, the rent is 200.00 per month. I thought that was pretty good!

It is one of those cute little shopping districts you can find in all kinds of towns across the USA.

Here is a horrible picture of the shop that is available….

BubbleShop_2921

You really can’t tell much from this picture. The mirror image shop is on the other side and has an embroidery business.

I thought it would be cute to put something like this in the window, under my huge BASSETHOUNDTOWN.COM banner…..

IMG_1379

Stuff for dogs and the people who wait on them hand and paw.

Then I would have this blown up poster size…..

paw in hand

I have had visions of howl Grandma and I could decorate the window! I have enough inventory to fill that place 3 times over.

It is pretty exciting to think about it. I still think the timing is just not right. My debt is not where I want it to be and Grandpa is still not feeling well.

But…..I think it might be sometime soon. It might not be that exact store front. Some of the stores have a New Orleans style outside grotto areas. Now that is howl we would like to roll! I am sure that rent is not 200 bucks a month, howl ever!

Here is a picture of one of the shops with a grotto area. It would be perfect for the kids to mill around in. They could howl to the masses who would quickly adore themz! hehe

My BFF and I were shopping a few months back.

Janie (BFF) hangin’ in the grotto area. We started kindergarten together!!!!

More dreaming of cool store ideas later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

Hey Janie – let’s get our grotto on! LOL
