Howllo Fellow Hound and old Hound lovers: Dawn of Daphneyland was updating me on some BaRNI intakes. I don’t know how she does it. I can’t keep track, and I know I got some of this wrong. Dawni, please e-mail me with corrections or additions.
They had 11 intakes last with with a 13 1/2 year old OTI arriving this Monday.
Dawn states,
“Got a basset – spuds mckenzie mixed pup on Wednesday, a pair of 3 year olds from a local acton person loosing their home on Thursday, a senior bagel from Coachella Valley on Thursday via transport, Jill Peterson brought us the Wasco basset last night. This morning we’re expecting:
Sleepy at the airport via the Alsups
A shelter mix up has a young english pointer headed our way who will be networked thru Life 4 Paws
A pair of 9 &10 year olds that are being transported from Fresno via Valerie Epps and the Kuwahara Team.
Then there is a very sad girl…. no name as of yet that Kerri is grabbing out of Riverside and driving up…. photo will make you cry…..”
3137Her name is Biscuit.
Kerri and Jade (her daughter) arrived with windows open – A/C on high.
Biscuit was in the back, -2- potty accidents and she refused to lay down the whole drive… it was about a 2 hour transpot.
Into the tub immediately, she went thru:
Antimicrobial bath (hair is falling out in huge clumps – abuse thru burns as well as infection)
Skin conditioner
Vitamin C treatment
Pure Aloe
Homepathics beyond belief…..
Kerri and Jade helped triage her in and she has such attitude she’s telling me off the whole time.
Refused pig ears thank you very much, but wanted ham slices.
We had 5 intakes today……
And its dinner time……
Stay tuned…Dawni
(Sleepy – Mitch was transported in by the alsups via a car ride)
A long day, getting longer all the time
Hugs
Dawni
P.S…….
Dawn states, “Last night found us with -2- more email alerts, both are pairs of seniors dumped at shelters…. one pair in No Cal are mixes, the pair in Orange County are pures……..
We need a senior center!!!!! Yesterday!!!”
I hear ya Dawni! Let’s all keep the dream alive.
