My website master did a major upgrade for me this week. See that little bar laying next to the key board? Well, that is extra memory! Memory I needed to install the new operating system – Mac OS X Leopard, the newest version of ILife, and a really cool back up system called Time Machine.

Howllo Fellow Hound and JuJu Bean Lovers:
Do you remember this girl that I blogged about?
JuJu Bean was in the Harlan, KY pound and Susan of Bluegrass Basset Rescue and I were trying to get her out. Well our persistance paid off. It took a good three weeks, but an all breed rescue called
finally sprung her. I have to commend the Harlan County Pound for holding on to her until a transport could be arranged.
It sure meant the world to JuJu Bean. I am sure her days are now going to be brighter! I hope to be posting some more pictures of her and helping this all breed rescue to place her. I just think she is cuter than a hot buttered biscuit!

And baby makes three!
Finally, I have an update for everyone. My Mom talked to Todd today. I left my Mom with strict instructions to pick up the phone if he called. I made sure I was on the baby call list!
Todd reports that he and Devon are the proud parents of an
11 pound 8 ounce baby boy! Now that is a large fella! Momma and baby are doing great. Devon was in labor for 15 hours. OMG!!!!!!!!! That hurts, (I really have no idea, but I am sure it does!) As soon as I get a picture I will be showing Ryder off.
Oh that kid is in for a world of fun with his parents and their love of dogs.
The first word Julian, my nephew said was, “Dog”. I was so proud!

Wally, the lost but found basset hound, is the thing of Disney movies and children’s books.
Howllo Fewllo Hound and Devon Lovers: Our girl is in labor and getting ready to have her first child. His name is Ryder and he is a really big boy. I think she is about a week early. She has been on total bed rest. I bet she is so excited. Let’s all send good delivery drool for her!

Howllo Fellow Hound and Blind Basset Lovers: I had the most fascinating observation last night regarding Emma. I was walking behind her towards the kitchen and a chair was out of place. As she approached the chair, that she did not know was there, she swung her ears and the one closest to the chair hit it. I have since noticed that she swings her ears before her to detect objects. How smart and fascinating is she for doing this? I thought it might be a fluke, but I have followed her like a hawk today and she does do this. She swings her long ears to monitor what is in front of her. This is so fantastic! Survival of the fittest!
