If you are with another breed he inserts that breed name into the e-mail. This one was targeted at me because of my website. He targets the first few pages of Google for about 40 AKC breeds.

He is also targeting breed rescue groups as well. This is just so wrong. Rescue groups fight for every single penny they make. I asked Galen what he has done for dog rescue and all I heard was crickets chirping.

His goal is to drive traffic to his dog boutique. This is a scam

Note from Cat………

This is a huge scam! Galen Saidler will link you to his internet dog boutique if you sign up to be a member of his “community”. This is a huge scam to get all dog breeds to link to him. BEWARE! Galen Seidler and his wife only want to link you to their dog boutique! They are totally deceptive when they send you an e-mail about there desire to help them set up a dog community. They are linking to their dog boutique while taking traffic away from your website. This guy has some kind of nerve.

They make it sound like they are approving your site with the promise of increased traffic. Guess what? They are approving you to have a link on your website to link to their dog boutique. Huh? Is this guy for real? What a dud.

I was not too pleased. I figured them out in very short order. When I called them on it they slithered around an e-mail response like a snake. Never answering any of my questions with the truth.

These people are scammers. They try to entice you with increase internet traffic. However, all they are doing is driving traffic to their internet store. If you have any questions, contact me.

I have their number. THEY ARE TOTAL JERKS!

Here is an interview I found that Galen Seidler did. He tried to hide who he was when he sent me his initial e-mail about linking to his website but I figured him out in short order. The guy has no clue how the internet works.

Here is an interview he did!

Bling Bling Puppy

Your name?

Galen Seidler

Your Location (city, etc)

Snohomish, WA

When did you start your website and why?

My wife and I wanted to start a dog boutique site and start making good money. We want to be able to quit our day jobs, and make better use of our time. We have a dog ourselves, and he inspired us to get into this business.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

We sell a large variety of designer dog beds, luxury dog beds dog jewelry, dog clothes, and other great dog accessories.

All of it. I had to do it all from scratch. A couple of years ago, I graduated from community college with an Associates in Web Technology. I used what I learned to build it.

I maintain it. Until I start making enough money to hire another web master, I’m it.

I spent the past year studying that too. So I am the webmaster, and the SEO guy / marketer as well. SEO is a great way to gain traffic if it is done ethically (no black hat stuff)

Article marketing, and blog posting.

Bling Bling Puppy

End of interview!

When I questioned him he started quoting bible verses to me. This guy is a real tool. BEWARE!

I will not link to them. I want to alert my basset hound and other dog friends that this is a scam. I also want to alert all other dog breed people that Galen Seidler might be contacting.

Do not answer any e-maisl from them. Ignore them. They do this under the guise of getting a dog community together. The only thing they are doing is linking to their over priced dog boutique and laughing at you!

Beware.

More later friends!

Back in 1973 Bev Erschell painted my picture…..

October 2nd, 2009 - 7:07 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and having your picture painted back in 1973 lovers…

Bev Erschell is an artist who was the Mom of one of my then friends. She was and is very cool. Her and I are friends to this day. Speaking of this day, I received a picture in the mail from her today. Oh, how I love to open the mail box and get treasures like this. Bev wrote me a sweet and dear note about how she had found this picture. It is of me with their sweet daschund, Brunhilda, AKA brunnie……

IMG_3732

Is this another path to my love of long dogs?

IMG_3730

Just look at me holding my hand on her belly. I was enthralled with Brunnie! Bev was in the process of taking pictures of me to paint. Bev Erschell is an artist and I did not know at the time how wonderful it was that she was doing my portrait. A gift I cherish to this day.

IMG_3722

She finally got me to let down Brunhilda and got this shot to work from…..

IMG_3758

You can kind of see the hand painting on the dress. I bought it from a hippy shop in Cincinnati and Bev loved it and me…..

Much later, about 10 years ago, my best friend Janie asked Bev to do something very special for me, a water color of Chloe and Lily.

It is the single most cherished possession that I own. My girls hang across from my portrait in the living room.

We will look at each other forever….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

Thank you Bev and Janie. The memories are so beautiful……..

Busy work day for our girl Emma…

October 2nd, 2009 - 6:06 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and busy work day lovers! Well today was one of those days for our Emma.

Emma clocked in at 10:30 am this morning and proceeded to the important business of licking her front paws.

IMG_3748

Then, as a disgruntled employee, she pointed out that blogging about a Shar-Pei puppy was very demeaning to her when she has areas that are just as wrinkly and much cuter….

IMG_3751

At that point I had to take a break and console our girl. A few extra treats were in order.

Then she decided to wrap up her work day by smelling some of the autumn air breezing into Kentucky.

IMG_3752

All and all, a very productive day indeed!

More getting the job done later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

I just received my Oct BUGLER in the mail….

October 2nd, 2009 - 5:05 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Bugler – The Basset Hound Magazine – Lovers:

Riche - Bugler

I absolutely love this magazine and I have subscribed to it since the early 90s. I always find out so much information even though I am on the internet every day. One thing that kind of saddened me was this announcement:
(Click article for larger version).

Looziana BHR

Any time a Basset Hound Rescue closes it is not good news. This rescue was devastated along with everyone else in the region when Katrina hit. I remember all kinds of folks stepping up to help as much as they could. I believe that GABR donated all of the proceeds that year to Looziana Basset Hound Rescue from the corvette raffle. Those were hard times for the hounds and folks in that region. Very hard times, still are……..

Looziana Basset Hound Rescue will be sorely missed. Thank you Leslie for all you have done.

I wanted to showcase a hound that needs adopting from this rescue. Could her name be any cuter? HONEY!

LA56.14638728-2-x

Good Luck Leslie with your new endeavors. We will miss you…….

Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

This is not a bath towel……..

October 2nd, 2009 - 11:11 am KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and sometimes other breed lovers! LOL!

HEY! PICK UP YOUR WET TOWELS!!!!!!!!!!!

image001

I was sent this e-mail from a friend and I just could not believe it was real. I thought to myself that, you see pictures like these on the internet all the time. Photoshoped beyond belief. Anyway, I could not find anything that said these were a fake.

image003

If this pup is real I could possibly kiss the fur off of it’s face……

image002

Here is a link to Wikipedia on the Shar-Pei if you are interesting in learning more about this breed. I have heard they have a lot of problems with their health. The breed suffered from inexperienced and rushed breeding in the 1970s.

image005

I hope you enjoyed your Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, moment for the day! I sure thought they were cute.

More Ahhhhhhhhhhh, moments later…..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

Chaps and his favorite toy!

October 1st, 2009 - 12:12 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and favorite toy lovers! Well, a few days ago I washed all of the toys that the kids have. I think they have about 80 of them. I never wash them in soap, because I am afraid that the soap might not rinse out of all of the inner reaches of the toy, so I wash them in hot water with a tablespoon of Baking Soda, twice. It works great. Plus, Emma is allergic to detergent. Anyway, I know the Mayor has a favorite toy that he just loves. He plays with it everyday. So, I make sure that the one he loves is always where he can see it. So, when I was laying the toys out I just dumped them in a big pile and forgot to give him his favorite. When I went back in to check on him this is what I saw…..

IMG_3712

It was like he was telling me, “thank-you Mommy”.

IMG_3710

Chaps favorite toy is a super soft bunny rabbit that his son sent him for his birthday a few years ago. Thank-you Colby Chaps……

IMG_3716

The Mayor likes to nibble on his toys. He can nibble for what see like forever. I am so glad he has toys. He likes to smell all of them and kick them around a bit, but he always grabs his favorite to enjoy……

More loving favorite toys later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
