Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and favorite toy lovers! Well, a few days ago I washed all of the toys that the kids have. I think they have about 80 of them. I never wash them in soap, because I am afraid that the soap might not rinse out of all of the inner reaches of the toy, so I wash them in hot water with a tablespoon of Baking Soda, twice. It works great. Plus, Emma is allergic to detergent. Anyway, I know the Mayor has a favorite toy that he just loves. He plays with it everyday. So, I make sure that the one he loves is always where he can see it. So, when I was laying the toys out I just dumped them in a big pile and forgot to give him his favorite. When I went back in to check on him this is what I saw…..

It was like he was telling me, “thank-you Mommy”.

Chaps favorite toy is a super soft bunny rabbit that his son sent him for his birthday a few years ago. Thank-you Colby Chaps……

The Mayor likes to nibble on his toys. He can nibble for what see like forever. I am so glad he has toys. He likes to smell all of them and kick them around a bit, but he always grabs his favorite to enjoy……

Can I brag……for all of us! Chaps Got a Month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Howllo fellow Bounders lovers! this just in from Wen of Sr. Hounds Abound!

First off! WOW! The Bounders did well by your efforts at getting votes! I was so not expecting the numbers to be so high because of the economy, but we did well. A little over 5200.00 came in to help the Bounders get through the year!
I thank you from deep within my heart. The generosity of Basset folk never ceases to amaze me.
So, without further delay.
This is the standings. The first column is the hounds name, of course. the second is the amount of votes each hound got and the third is their ranking. The ones in red are the top twelve.

That would be, from 1st to 12th, Abby Fuller, Moses, Buttons, Elder Clara, Mayor Chaps, Lizzie, Buttermilk, Molly Moen, Charlie, Longshot, Maggie and Daisy Mae.
If the slaves of these hounds will email me, I need from Abby, only one month, as she gets first choice, Moses 2 months, and everyone else, please send me 3 months of your choice for the placement of you hound in the calendar.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and foolin’ around with photoshop lovers.

I am addicted to photoshop. I just love graphic design as you can probably tell from my website! I just ran across this image of Lily that I photo shopped about 7 years ago! It kind of reminded me of the color of forget-me-nots. You know, the picture of the September flower I posted earlier today?

Kind of cool! I am looking forward to learning so much more.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Clock Work Lovers: I am not a big fan of Chaps and Emma playing too hard because of several reasons…

1.) Emma has had back surgery.

2.) Chaps is Mr. ruff house and he just does not know his manly strength.

3.) Emma won’t play exactly how Chaps wants her too and he gets mad sometimes.

4.) They totally tear apart their bed and I have to make it over. (Poor me)

5.) Emma is blind and I worry about her needlessly.

OK, number 5 is the most absurd reason to worry about play time. It is so funny. Chaps will get into this position and kind of snort like a bull, actually blowing mist in her face from his nose. Oh I hope you were not eating???? But he does this to let her know where he is. It is so cute! Then he kind of hides…..

Watch out Chaps, Emma has radar!

Did you know the Mayor had those kind of moves in him? Emma actually goes up on her hind legs like a polar bear at times.

This is better than HBO on demand!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and September Lovers: Wow, was it just us or did September fly by? September is such a pretty month in Kentucky. This year it was really rainy which means we should have a fantastic fall. Lots of color. Here is a picture I took of Emma when she could still see. She is walking under a beautiful Japanese Maple which had turned bright red. I call it Chloe’s tree because she loved it so much.
