Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and March Lovers!  I think this is so exciting.  The first day of March means we are over the brunt of winter in Basset Hound Town and that is wonderful for our low to ground hounds!  And another wonderful thing!  With the help of my assistant/Mayor I got Basset Hound Town taxes prepped and in the mail to my CPA.

Whew!!!

It only took off and on all of February to plow through the data but with the help of a good and loyal town member we finally put our readers down and celebrated with a frozen margarita!  It is now a tradition in Basset Hound Town to have Tequila Tax day and get it all done by March the 1st!

Now it is time to work on the first ever Lily Book Tour!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Fiddle-Dee-Dee lovers!  Remember Scarlette O’Hara going to the Wilkes Picnic?

Our seamstress came over today to pick up the new fabric for the coats and dropped off the Fiddle-Dee-Dee snood!  It is not in the boutique yet but I had to share these pictures with the residents…

Howllo Fellow Basset and hound coat lovers…OMDog!!!  We are having so much fun designing our new line of dog coats, some with matching snoods.  We went fabric shopping prior to meeting with our seamstress.  We had some very specific fabric in mine.

Faux sable and Faux chinchilla – guess what?  We found exactly what we were looking for…

You would not believe howl soft and luxurious these washable faux furs are!

Here is Daisy Lynn with a coat that will be used as the pattern.

Grandma and I also selected this fabric which is a soft hounds tooth.  Can you even imagine the uniqueness of this coat?

Did I mention we will trim a few in the faux chinchilla?

This faux chinchilla is so soft.  I want a hood made out of it to match Daisy Lynn’s matching snood! Of course I bought enough to sell a few in the boutique.  Talk about stylin’ and profilin’!

This yard of fabric really caught our eye.  So classic and it will make a reversible coat.  I think it might make 2!  One for me and one for you;)

Last but not least we bought some really pretty lilac flannel for a warm snood.  Grandma and I just love this color…It looks good for an Easter Bonnet!

We have some fun work to do!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Valentine’s Day Lovers…

Daisy Lynn is so lucky!  Her BFF Annie Alessandro dropped off a really cool pink monkey valentine!

She loved it and ran all over bassethoundtown with pink monkey!

There is not much better than a pink monkey and a BFF named Annie!

As you can see Daisy Lynn even took a valentine nap with pink monkey!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Howlin’ Daisy Lynn Lovers…

Today I went to the grocery and left Daisy Lynn on her own.  Grandma was upstairs. OMDog…Daisy Lynn howled the entire time I was gone.

Grandma took this picture from the video camera I have aimed on her favorite spot – what we call the perch!

Grandma and I are trying to teach her to stay on her own but she is just not having it.  She does fine in her kennel when we leave but not free range.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Doritos Lovers…Well, much to our better health judgement we went long for the catch!

Score!!! for the Mayor Daisy Lynn Rudert! 

Doritos totally dropped the ball not including Daisy Lynn in their zillion dollar commercial!

As you can see, we were not impressed!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Testing Lovers…I had to crack up when I went into my comment section on the last testing post.  You may or may not have noticed that I had posted that to the sub-blog heading of…The Lily Book Tour!  Woot Woot for Surez….

Yes, it is true and I am very excited to announce that Grandma, Daisy Lynn and I are going on our first ever Lily Book Tour!

This will be the new header graphic and I will post our progress as we move towards the dates.  The ruff plan is to travel from bassethoundtown main location in KY to South Florida with 4 or 5 stops along the way.

The Lily Book was self published in 2006 – Lunar year of the Dog.
