Basset Hound Town Residents meet up in Houston!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Basset Hound Town Residents Meeting Lovers! I love meeting BHT residents and there has not nearly been enough of those meetings.
Most of us know basset hound town residents Cindy and her bassets Jethro, Rugs, Oz and Harriet. We also know One Mom, (Kerry) with her hounds Nell and Sophie.
Well last Friday Kerry had a meeting in Houston and her family flew from the UP of MI to TX! They arranged a meeting to have their own town hall meeting at a dog park in the heart of Houston!
Hannah is on the left (Kerry’s beautiful daughter), Kerry petting Rugs, and Cindy with her hounds.
Here comes Jethro! He wants his voice heard!
Now we have Hannah and Ozzie! “More pets please pretty Hannah!”
Here are all of the Doyle hound gathering in the town hall dog park. That is Harriett in the purple! Here is what Kerry said about the gathering……
“If we had made a banner it would have said “Basset Hound Town – Texas branch”. We tried to think of some resolution to vote on, but decided that without the Mayor present, it would be inappropriate to work on legislation!”
Cindy and Kerry you do bassethoundtown proud! I would have been in heaven at this town hall meeting!
More meetings later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
How awesome is this a bassethound town hall meeting. If you are ever in our bassethound town in Ky. we would love to meet you at our dog park. I am so glad you got together I feel like I know you all from reading your comments.
I’m impressed Cat! You picked out who was who perfectly.
I wish you could have been there too Cat. We really needed the mayor for some tough decisions. Somedoggie barged in to the meeting and Harriet tried to tell him it was the Basset Hound Town Hall Meeting but he wouldn’t listen. Then he drank up all our water! At that point we adjourned the meeting.
A great time was had by all!
Judy! I totally agree! We need a meeting in Ft. Thomas! Come one come all!
Cindy – Kerry, walked me through all the harness colors! LOL!
Then Kerry done good! I was impressed with how fast she learned their names.
As yes Judy! If I ever have an occassion to travel through your neck of the woods we’ll definitely stop by. I do wish that some day we can all meet together at Big Bone Lick State Park in Kentucky.
That would be soooooooo coooooooool! Big Bone Lick here we come!
It was a wonderful meeting. Cindy and the hounds were delightful! Hannah is still talking about Jethro, Rugby, Ozzie and Harriet. This is how she describes them: Jethro, he cries a lot and needs extra pets; Ozzie likes to sit and listen; Rugby is glad for a pat; and Harriet is in charge.
If we all meet at Big Bone Lick State Park, would one sussex spaniel be welcome? 😀
Thanks Cindy for hosting a wonderful meeting!
Kerry, I love Hannah’s definitions. I love it! Bring Nell, because I will dog nap her! hehehe
Hannah has them figured out! She is too cute. And smart!
According to the basset hound town hall rules “Every dog is welcome, but bassets run the town.” Nell is welcome!
I cannot wait to meet our Hannah! She is so cute and smart! She is a real hound lover! I was just dreaming about the basset hound nationals in 2012 in KY! Really near big bone lick and my home! Remember, Chaps is going to be in the Veterans Class! He is going to need a cheering section! I smell victory!
Hmmmmm. That’s a long ways away but it gives plenty of time for planning!
Slinky wants to come to Basset Hound Town, and she wants to sit on the Lily and Chloe bench.
Maureen – you are welcome anytime. The bench is waiting!
Cat!
Cat – Hannah can’t wait to meet you and Chaps and Emma either! My husband has scheduled to do the Flying Pig marathon next year, and that would be very near BHT!
I cannot tell you how much we loved meeting Cindy and the hounds in Houston! It is so cool now to have these pictures and to know each of their personalities and hear their stories. Cindy is the best!
Kerry – that is so cool about the flying pig. We can have a blast not running! LOL! We will make sure we clear the calendar that weekend. PAWSOME!
Cat – I just caught your comment about “dog napping” Nell! Oh my! As long as you don’t mind her being a 50 pound lap dog, you’ll be fine!
