It was a RUFF night!

Howllo Fellow Hound and storm lovers: I just love a great thunderstorm, too bad I have not been able to love one for about 15 years. I have always had a hound that was petrified of thunderstorms.

Last night I did not go to bed until 1:00am. Chaps woke me up at 2:00am. The thunderstorms rolled through until 4:30am. I got up at 6:00am. You do the math! At one point I had Chaps wrapped up in a blanket like an over stuffed burrito trying to simulate a comfort wrap. He was so confused by it that it seemed to help. I was laughing so hard that I was crying. I am sure sleep deprivation factored in. Emma, as usual, slept through the entire event.

Here is my current state:

Here is Chaps’s current state:

Weather report………More storms predicted later today. The Mayor needs his rest so he can keep me up again all night. Oh Lord, scoot over big boy, I comin’ in!

More weather reports later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

Thank you my dear! I feel for Troy, your 13 year old. They seem to get a bit worse about storms as they get older, at least my hounds do and did.

Chaps and Emma are my life! I thank the Universe every day.

    Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

Oh Gosh Cat, we had the same storm system up here in Indiana. Scared me right out of bed.
Cindy Lou was doing her Mommy bark downstairs.
(she’s not supposed to climb steps too often, so we keep her and Ringo down) I brought her up and she sighed contentedly as she fell asleep near the bed. And of course I couldn’t go back to sleep!

hehe! Me too! I could not go back to sleep! I had an 80 pound hound on me! AKA Chaps! Emma was sleeping like the sweet girl hound she is at my feet!

    So sweet!

Love you! Cat, Chaps and Emma
