    Great video.

I went to BassetFest in Wisconsin this past weekend. Slinky and I both had a great time, but are we tired.

There were approximately 250 Bassets there.

I worked registeration for a few hours on Saturday, and I think we made some money for Basset Buddies.

Slinky was able to run and play for hours, she was sooooooooooo tired when we got back to the hotel, she didn’t even want to go out for her late night potty break.

Slinky was also covered in mud and grime. It was bath time when we got home. Slinky has had her ears cleaned, nails trimmed (at BassetFest), and a bath when we got home. Slinky now looks like a shiney new penny.

I met with an animal communicator while I was there, her name is Linda Epstein. She told me quite a lot about Slinky. For instance:

    1. Slinky loves her name.
    2. Slinky wonders why I even have to ask, “if she feels loved”.
    3. Slinky is thankful and understands that I have to leave her and go to work, but she would appreciate it if I would leave the radio on to break the silence.
    4. Slinky doesn’t want me to have the cyst on her back paw removed, because it doesn’t really bother her, and she doesn’t like the idea of surgery.
    5. Slinky appreciates the fact that I notice she is quiet, and she has excellent house manners. She says that she tries hard.
    6. Slinky likes that I take her with me when I travel and that I don’t kennel her, because kennels scare her.
    7. Slinky’s ancestors were royalty.
    8. Slinky doesn’t want me to be scared about the future.
    9. Slinky senses I am sad a little lonely.
    10. Slinky loves that I give her a variety of treats, especially flossies, but she would like a little more variety with her food.
    11. Slinky is honored to be “Boss Basset” of the BETU it makes her feel like an ambassador.

I couldn’t leave Slinky in the hotel or car while I went to church, so the people at St. Luke’s church allowed me to bring her in and sit in the children’s room with her. The priest even gave her a special blessing, and she was a hit with so many of the people at church.

OMG Maureen, that sounds like so much fun. I would have loved for Chaps and Emma to be seen by the animal communicator. Thank you so much for providing all those details. I enjoyed every little bit of it!

Can you tell me what BETU means?

That is the cutest story about Slinky being able to go to church! How cool is that church! I bet everyone really enjoyed her.

What a great comment to read, Thanks again Maureen.
