How cute. I don’t know if they still make this toy – but when I was a kid I had a pull toy that was a dog with a basset hound wooden head and long ears – a slinky body and a wooden tail. The doy was on wheels.

Maybe that’s where I got my hound fever. Anyone else remember this?

Slinky has my vote. I can’t think of a better breed of dog to dress up as a slinky than a Basset.haha. I love halloween time. Happy halloween to You, Chaps, and Emma from your friend Josh!

Good luck Slinky. Henri and Riley are voting for you. Plus since your our Boss Basset we figured we best vote for you. I love your costume too. You amaze me Ma Basset that you have such patience to sit and fudge with such things.

I remember having a pull toy that was a Slinky. I think it was a snail.

Does anyone remember having a Gaylord Basset Hound Toy? I have one.

Candy – that was Gaylord. The toy that Maureen is talking about. I actually did a blog posting on it back in June. I love it!

Hmmm. . . that’s not the one I remember. I think the toy I’m remembering was made by Playskol.

But, after seeing the video – I’m going to EBay – I want a Gaylord!!!!

FYI – Extra hugs and kisses being sent to Chaps and Emma – I don’t want the Mayor to be afraid of goblin hounds!!!

Candy, The Gaylords are pretty expensive now a days. If you find one let me know how much the cost. Are they not the cutest things ever?

Maureen, is your from childhood or did you recently buy it? I think I actually had one as a kid. It makes you wonder if something stuck in my brain!

I bought one within the last two years and it cost about $35-$40. I was going to give it to a Basset Rescue silent auction, but I couldn’t give it up.
