Anatomy of a Christmas Card – 2002

Howllo Fellow Hound and Christmas Card Lovers: I thought that you might want to see the Christmas card I designed back in 2002. It was quite the endeavor. It took hours and hours to create. I sent it out as an 8×10 poster. I keep meaning to have it blown up to a large poster size on foam core stock as a holiday decoration. It would look really cool hanging over the mantel for the season.

I had to load it for this posting as a medium size, but you must click on it to get all of the detail. I hope this does not bore you, dear reader, but I will point out few things within this stunning piece of work of art, (according to my Mom)!
Don’t cha just love Moms? LOL

OK, her goes, Santa is Grandpa. Lily and Chloe are his helpers. The sleigh is the bath tub in the Lily book. I just love that page. One of my favorite things is the present falling out of the sleigh and the big dipper catching it for Santa. The dogs are all family and friends. The chicuahua is Lisa’s dog. She is my friend and my graphic technician. The bull dog is Rosie and belonged to my younger sister. The Poodle is Pierre, he was my first dog as a child. The row of three are my older sister’s dogs from back to front, Tracker – Luna – and Lucy. The next two are Stella in the back who belonged to my younger sister and Natalie who was my first basset hound. Noah is leading the pack. He was also my younger sister’s dog.

Whew! Now that’s a pack of flying hounds!

I picked all of the land marks because they are my favorites. I have been to most of them. The group looking through binoculars is my Mom and the three girls. I am the yellow one.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the anatomy of my 2002 Christmas card. It was so much fun to do.

I might just have to get on that poster idea! Or, maybe I will wait until next year. LOL!

More memories later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

This is really remarkable, and it is wonderful the way you incorporated every one and so many special places. You are very talented, but I think you get a lot of your talent from the hounds.
