Tomorrow is the big day for Homer!

December 28th, 2008 - 7:07 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Hound and Homer Lovers: Well, tomorrow is our big day. For me it is bigger than Christmas. This is my best Christmas present ever, going to get Homer!

I sure wish I could foster him. Chaps won’t let me. Our Mayor is very strict. He attacks other dogs in most situations. What is worse, he attacks Emma as well. He is so fearful that she will make a friend other than him.
(can you say jealous?)

He has a few, “ISSUES”.

The few times I have fostered, our Chaps has also gotten sick and his vet bills were more than what boarding would be. We all have our problems. I respect the Mayor. I want him healthy and happy. I would have it no other way. That is why I cannot foster. I do dream of it, however!

Homer will be better off at the place I will place him in. It is a vet office very close to me. It is the same place I picked up another hound from and planned a transport for.

More Homer updates tomorrow!

Oh, Cat I know you are so excited about tomorrow…..you won’t even be able to sleep tonight! I’m excited for you — we will be waiting on pins and needles for your blog. How long will he have to be boarded at the vet, and where will he go after that? Hang on Homer….your angel is on her way to rescue you.

    I am anxious out it.

This is the best news for Homer. I know he will be happy and well cared for.

I didn’t realize that the Mayor could be jealous or possessive. He just doesn’t look the type. How does he fare with having other humans around?

Yes Maureen, Chaps can be a real mean man around other dogs. It’s just his nature. I don’t dare try and change him. He is the man of the house.
