Sweet Dreams………

March 30th, 2009 - 8:08 am KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Sweet Dream Lovers: Last night was a good night for our Emmers. She slept very sound and finally stretched out in her new bed. She really wants to get on the couch, but HELLO! No Way. That is never going to happen again. I just cannot risk it. Anyway, I think she looks pretty comfortable, what do you think?

First Grandma kisses her good night.

And then it’s off to dream land.

More Sweet Dreams Later……..Love, Cat, Chaps and the little dreamer! (hopefully she is not dreaming of the couch!) LOL

Emma looks so sweet and peaceful sleeping. I know she is glad to be home with her family. How are her exercises coming? Thank God for grandma’s who love their grandpups.

    Joni –

I could have not done it without Grandma. She has been a God Send as usual. That woman is the ultimate in my eyes. We are doing fantastic on the exercises and I swear, I think she might had stood up on her own this morning, but I was still half asleep. Thanks for all of your comments Joni. They mean a lot.

it always amazes me that dogs look so calm and peaceful while sleeping…

to me that she wants up on the couch means that she is starting to feel like her old self again…and a good sign! its going to be hard to deal with that one!!!…

There are few pictures as sweet as a basset hound all tucked in to their bed. Sounds like Emma is doing really well. You are so fortunate to have your mom there with you. Enjoy the day, and gave Chaps an extra slurp from us! Yes!

Emma looks sooooooo peaceful sleeping. I’m sure she is so content being home, with her Mommy and Grandma kissing her goodnight — just seals the deal. She knows Chaps is in the next room, so they warms her soul as well. How is her appetite and exercises coming along? I bet she will be standing on her own in no time. Do you think she injured her back while jumping on the couch? or did this just come on all of a sudden? Please take care of yourself — Emma needs you……WE ALL NEED YOU!!!!

That photo of Emma sleeping and dreaming looks like it should be on the cover a children’s book.

Slinky and I are both happy that Emma is home and recovering.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do.

Hey Audra – stuff like jumping off of the couch and jumping on people does not help her weak back. The doctor said she had DDD which is degenerative disc disease. He thought she was too young to have this condition. So, I have to baby her back and make sure she gets supplements to help with strength.

She is thrilled to be home and is healing like a miracle hound!

Emily – Grandma just started her shift and I am updating a few things and working. Emma went bonkers when GM came into her recovery room. That tail was going a mile a minute and that is good exercise!

    Grandmas rule!

Lois – it is a good sign and her determination is most likely going to be stronger than my will. Wow, that girl can wear ya down. I might have to wind up with us all sitting on the floor with massive pillows, kind of like Rome in the olden days. Emma can be a Roman Queen and Chaps still can be the Mayor in his toga! How cute would that be? LOL
