Emma Slimderella is not going to parade around in her blue bikini with a sly grin on her face like Ms. Bertinelli, but she will report that she is one pound away from her goal!
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? Emma lost 9 pounds in 8 weeks. Her doctor was so impressed and just fawning all over her yesterday. Everyone was clapping and kissing her. And like a dippy dork, I forgot my camera. As Chaps would say, “Oh No”. Emma now weighs 65 pounds
So, then it the Mayor’s turn on the scale. He has been on a diet as well for 8 weeks. He only lost 5 pounds but Mommy is very proud. He has been on the same diet, but being an older gentlehound of 7.5 years his metabolism is a bit slower. That’s his story and he is sticking to it. Chaps now weighs 75 pounds. That is what he weighed when I picked him up from the TX show kennel. I though he looked so skinny. He looks good now. So, since the dippy dork forgot her camera here is a picture of the kids, just for good measure! This is just before I picked them up from TX in 2004.
How cute! This is Chaps at 75 pounds. He is carrying his 75 pounds a bit differently now!

Congratulations on the great ‘weight’ report? Would you mind sharing your diet plan. Colby and Abby could stand to lose a few too….espcially with all this hot weather we’re having.

All I did was cut back their portions by one 1/2 cup per meal. They get two meals a day. They get a cup in the AM and a cup in the PM. That is laced with a bit of boiled potato juice. Kind of like a soupy mashed. It turns into a glaze and warms up the kibble. They only get small pieces of raw potatoes for treats for the most part so that stayed the same. I was amazed. I need to cut by by a cup of food a day if those are the results. However, I probably have a metabolism like Chaps! LOL

Maybe Chaps could up his metabolism if you run him through the same therapy sessions that Emma receives. Emma may actually be having more daily exercise than the mayor (I know it’s hard with a desk job Chaps, but you have to get up and move!).

Oh! Emma and Chaps,
I just hate the thought of either of you losing an ounce of yourself. I think the vet and and your mom slave are mean. Bassets are supposed to be well-rounded.
