Residents Cindy, Jethro, Rugby, Ozzie and Harriet submit ear lengths for the record!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Official Ear Measurement Lovers! Cindy and her hounds have been residents of Basset Hound Town for a long time. About as long as Jethro’s ears! Well folks, we have a front runner as of 6-24-09 and his name is Jethro Doyle. Based upon the measuring rules that we have in BHT the ear is not pulled tight, but just enough to take the slack out.
Jethro Doyle: 10 and 1/4”! Just look at that face.
Cindy’s next measuring victim was Rugby, AKA Rugs. Mr. Rugs measures in at 8 and 1/4”. He does not like the camera too much.
Next up we have the enchanting Ozzie Doyle with a dainty 7” measurment. Oh, look how cute she is. Cindy you have some good measuring technique!
Last, but not least is Harriet. This girl measures 7 and 1/4 inches. She was none to pleased to be awakened from her nap for this tedious task!
So there you have it folks, 4 more residents howl in with official measurements. We will keep them safe and sound in basset hound town. Emma, has proclaimed herself town historian and keeper of the measurements!

I hope to take Slinky’s meaurements this week, I know I will need help with this endeavor, but it is very important to keep her measurements safe and secure.
I’m so glad that Emma has taken over the very important job of town historian and keeper of the measurements. We needed a dependable trustworthy hound for that task! What a cute write up Cat. I love it! And just for the record, in case you are looking at the pictures really good. In Jethro’s picture on the lower right, that would not be the top part of my torso. That is my knees! I saw that and had to look twice because I am NOT that gifted! LOL!
