Disco Lily for Halloween!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Halloween Lovers! I have some fun pictures I want to post of Chloe and Lily from a past Halloween very soon. As a matter of fact, I based a page of the Lily book on that day. I think it was back in 2002 or so. I am still digging out the actual pictures for our viewing pleasure, but I thought you might enjoy seeing the page in the Lily book that the upcoming pictures are from.
I love this page and the inspiration the girls gave me for it. This is an actual picture of Lily on Halloween. I made her and Chloe orange tube tops. It was so much fun. I cannot wait to show you the actual event! You will crack up! I totally guarantee it!

We can’t wait! Wouldn’t it be fun to see if anybody has costumes for their dogs? I’ll bet most of us do! We have 6 costumes. From 3 different events we took Jethro and Rugs to before we got Oz and Harriet. It’s soooo much fun to dress up a basset. Most of them love it!
Most people would think this top is toooooo much; but, Lily can make this outfit work!
I can’t wait to see more photos, but I disagree with Cindy. I don’t think Bassets like to wear costumes.
I know Chaps and Emma don’t mind a costume if it fits like a winter coat. They love wearing coats. As a matter of fact I have a great design for a costume that I have wanted to get made for years. It fits just like a fleece coat and has the skeleton of a dog on it. I know it is very popular in the market already, but not the design and fit I am thinking of. I also want to do an actual coat that has angel wings on the back. Blue for a boy and pink for a girl. This could be a costume and a coat. I wish I could sew. I envision the wings actually stitched into the fabric. Very elaborate. Ahhhhhh, maybe someday I can afford a demo. It would be so cute.

I think with mine its the attention they get while they’re getting it put on then how everybody looks at them and has to come over and see them and pet them. Jethro doesn’t mind too much but I have to admit that Rugs doesn’t like it that much. But Jethro is always ready to take it off if he doesn’t like the way it fits. I do have some really cool vests that John Faulks sister makes. I probably need to find out if she’ll make me 2 for Harriet. I have 6 for boys but none for a girl. Those are comfortable for them and they have a loop on them for the lead. Really cool.
