MAC THE KNIFE….

Look a the fins. OMG – that is so funny. Most sharks eat everything in their path and this includes the rare tri-colored land shark named Buster Lema.

Lois said that Buster has never met a table he hasn’t stood upon! For now, however, he just wants to be left alone to howl his favorite song……When the shark bites!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Rescue Lovers: Grandma and I took Grandpa out for lunch today for his 83rd birthday. This is him with some flowers my older sister sent to him!

After lunch we drove over to a place called Western Hills to check on a basset hound that is up for adoption via SAAP. This organization is an an all breed rescue that is headed up by the Animal Control Officer in our area. This is how rescue should and does work in our area. I am honored to witness it first hand. We are very fortunate to have our AC officer.

However, to back track a bit, I had Ms. Suzanne Fitch of Mid Atlantic also stepping in and willing to take this guy. Chris Dowd of All Ears Basset Sanctuary was also helping to make sure this lonely soul had a place to land! What would I do without the kindness of KY lovers?

So, here his is. He still needs a home! Mr. Kentucky! About 3 years old, neutered, and wondering why he wound up here? Most likely he was turned out. No one came looking for him. He was at the pound for about 3 weeks. I have to credit the pound for keeping him that long. They really like him.

This guy was so scared and pulling on the leash like his neck was made of steel!

Himz was so scared and just shaking. He had just had a neuter 2 days ago! Sigh……

Oh, poor boy! I finally got him to sit with me for a few seconds.

Here is Aunt Kit Kat (what my nephews call me) showcasing his long ears! Look how pretty his spotting is!

Then he stood so pretty for Grandma!

Mr. KY was in one of about 30 cages in this adoption event. He needs a home. Do you need an addition to your home?

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Grandpa lovers! Well today is Grandpa’s 83rd Birthday! Grandma and I are taking him out to lunch and then for a drive. He does not know this yet, but I am going to drive him over to an adoption event at PetSmart and see Mr. KY, the basset hound that I have been trying to help that was in the Campbell County Pound.

I will tell you guys more about him later. He is safe and in a foster home.

So, back to Grandpa! I was looking for good pictures and this is one of the best. However, I cannot figure out why he always has his eyes shut! Hey look, they both do! hehehe

Is this picture just too cute and funny? This is proof that the Mayor is a lap dog!

I was just wondering about blogs without ads. I try to read other blogs and they are crammed with ads. I wonder if that really works. I can see blogs like Rachel Ray and Oprah doing that.

Are there many blogs without ads besides basset hound town? What do you think??

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Scully Lovers. There are so many of us. Scully’s Mommy has made a video tribute to her most precious girl and I know this must have been so hard, yet healing. Mary, your tribute is precious and priceless. I cried and laughed and then cried some more.

Nothing is harder than telling a precious, dear loved one good bye. Nothing. Thank you for helping us all say farewell. We love you Scully…….Cat, Chaps, Emma and Basset hound town residents…….

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and needing curtains lovers! Well, I have lived without curtains for what seems like forever. I had some shears up for a while once. Anyway, I have been living with bare windows forever. I just cannot believe how expensive curtains are. So, Grandma and I went to Lowes and I found a panel I really liked, of course it was the most expensive one. It is about 50 bucks per panel and I need 4 plus the rods and hook things. This is just one panel draped over an old rod so I could see what it looked like and if I liked it. I do, I am a big fan of the swirly swirls.

I had to take all of the Emma boundaries off of the couch I don’t let Emma on so I could throw the panel over the rod. I went back to answer the phone and I should have known!

The pillows I put up were not going to keep her off!

Chaps even tried to get her off for a play session and she said, “NO”! Of course she is still on the couch she is not allowed on. Oh Emmers…………
