We have a new child! A tomato plant!
Howllo fellow basset hound and new child lovers! Yes, our new child is one small tomato plant that Grandma and I are placing all of our hopes and dreams on! LOL! We have have ZERO luck growing tomato plants. ZERO!!!!!!
Here is Grandma with her main gardener, the Mayor!
“Grandma, is that a big food bowl you are mixing?”
No Mayor, that is just another pot Grandma was adding dirt to.
Here is the new child, a celebrity! Cindy, a resident of BHT suggested this type of plant! Thanks dear girl!
“Grandma can Mayors eat tomatoes?”
OK lets water our new sweet plant!
“OK, enough of that stupid tomato, what about ME, ME, ME?”
Oh, can you see those marigolds? Someone at the garden store told us that if you plant marigolds around tomatoes that it will keep the bugs away. Of course I bought it hook, line, and sinker. Anything for our new child!
More about our red babies later…..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

That’s a big good looking tomato plant. You got some good pictures and what a cute story! Tell Grandma she did good. I have heard that about the Marigolds also. Hey, no harm done. Maybe they’ll attract more bees to polinate your plant!
I have 2 tomatoes already and 2 jalopena’s on my jalopena plant.
I have also heard that marigolds will keep rabbits from your garden. Good luck, girls!
My mother used to grow the orange/yellow tomatoes because they were less acidic. My Dad at these but he especially loved the Beefsteak Tomatoes.
Good luck with your new baby.
