There was a bank robbery 2 minutes from Basset Hound Town!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Bank Robbery Haters! OMG! Yesterday there was a bank robbery within minutes of our home! Some LOOSER wearing a dread lock wig, fake mustache, and a black hoodie robbed a bank right up the street!

He fled the bank and headed right down Highland Ave. You can see from an old picture I took of Grandma and Grandpa the bank that was robbed in the background! 2 minutes from our home!
This is the street we walk the kids on every time we walk. It is pretty scary.
He was not found as of tonight. I am wondering howl someone that looks like the freak in the picture was able to get away?

OMG…crime is everywhere!!! Never thought it would find its way to Bassethoundtown…!!! Now it is such a shame that in your perfect little town you have to really think safety!!! Take care and always be on the lookout!

I see a big signal with the way the guy looks. It was Saturday morning and heading to 90 degrees in our little town. Do you not think it very odd that someone has a hood on with long sleeves and a dread lock wig? Banks need better security I guess. Anyway this is too close for comfort as I live 2 minutes away also. Hope they catch this guy – the woman in the background behind the robber is the bank manager. I feel for the teller – scared to death – I bet!
I agree Judy. Where was security? Is this the only picture that was taken? Could it be any more horrible? Come on!

This economy is bringing out the thieves that’s for sure. This is soooo very scary.
We have a “peeping Tom” that has been spotted in our neighborhood. And someone’s back car window has been blown out and someone stole some items out of an unlocked car. They’re blaming it on bored kids on their summer break but I don’t buy it. I think it has everything to do with the economy. We live in a nice neighborhood but that’s where all the robbers go. I guess it makes sense!
Keep your eyes an ears open! It’s times like these when I’m glad I have 4 big bassets in my back yard.
We live out in the country and we have had folks go right into buildings and take things, from tools to gas in the gas cans. Years ago and some now folks even took young calves off the farms for money. Makes me thankful to have our hounds also.

WOW! That was close. I would find something like that so unsettling it would be difficult to sleep. If I were a robber or burglar, I would also be so afraid of getting caught, I know I would do something stupid.
People say that because of online banking, the Internet, etc. bank holdups have decreased because there is not as much cash around as there was before, and the Internet makes it easier to steal.
