Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Hounds guarding tomato lovers! Well, my prized plant just got a pack of hounds to guard it, read on!

Today was a big day! Grandma picked our first prized tomato today! We watched this beauty every day and enjoyed talking and taking about howl beautiful she is! She was the first to emerge from a yellow flower!

We wanted to wait until tomorrow to pick her but we noticed the pink beauty in the foreground. What is that hole? OMD! OH MY DOG! Has one of our precious packages been violated? NOOOOOOOOOO!

Let’s get back to the star of this show.

No teeth marks! OK, now I am bragging…

Now, back to the sad victim with teeth marks. Sighhhhhhhhhhhh. No bacon, no lettuce, no soft bread? No, No, No!

So we added the guard hounds. They are actually chimes that will hopefully scare off the creature with teeth! Maybe it is Edward of Twilight. He seems creepy enough to swoop in. KEEP AWAY!

Bassethoundtown is circling the wagons, this is not an episode of Twilight. No one is sucking the life out of my baby!

Can some one grab the Mayo?

More protecting our red friends later…Cat, Chaps and Emma

I was afraid of that! Hopefully the chimes will work. If not, pick em now and let em rippen off the vine. Even the one that’s got the hole in it will be ok. Just carve around it.

WHAT A BEAUTY YOU HAVE THERE GRANDMA! Now for the taste test! I can’t wait!

I am sorry to see and hear that your tomato plant has been violated; but, those tomatoes look so round, ripe and juicy I can understand the temptation. I think this tomato plant should be Basset Hound Town’s national fruit plant.
