Disco Tuesday!

August 10th, 2010 - 12:12 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Disco Tuesday Lovers….

Emma and I were racking our brains to find a picture that would lift the Tuesday doldrums. What is better than memories of the Disco era! I could dance for hours, on platform shoes mind you to this all time fav….

Our Emma can really turn the beat or butt around!

This is a sequin tube top I made for her 2nd birthday photo shoot. Our Disco Queen!

I bought the tube top material at a theatrical shop a few towns over where all the Drag Queens shop. I had one end of the bolt and Sweet Evening Breeze had the other end. It was so funny. It was in the remnant pile. As she tugged, I tugged and then our eyes met! Turns out there was enough for both of us! Too bad I was not blogging back then because I certainly would have had a picture of her.

More hoping to take the doldrums out of Tuesday later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Disco Queen Emma!

It’s almost like they were originally made for basset hounds!

Something like this could easily come across as cheap, but Our Emma makes this look sexy and stylish.

Emma is truly a Disco Diva and a Dancing Queen, a la ABBA! “…Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine. You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life. See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen”…! Love the tube top!!:)

ah…mr cooper would have loved a good tube top…

we were at an event once for his rescue & he was dragging me all over the place being really annoying..so i said FINE! lets see where you want to go..so off we went…& he took me right to this psychic….

now i am pretty good about listening to my dogs & watching them and such but this kind of freaked me out because as soon as he reached her booth (& this was in PA) he laid down at her feet and calmed right down, looked up at her & smiled…she said he told her this was the happiest dog in the world. i’m like ok…(she tells this to everyone..cynic!)

then she said..you dress him up? well he had a hat on earlier…she goes “HE LOVES TO BE DRESSED UP.L.THE FRILLIER THE BETTER..HIS FAVORITE COLORS ARE PURPLE & YELLOW”..OK.my dog is in touch with his feminine side….yeah…she said he loved the hat..actually i think she used the word “adored”…and then she mentioned that he was sorry for biting the rescue president’s hand..something she could not have known..only 2 people knew that..& i was one of them.

she said a bunch of other stuff that was right on target too…very personal to coop, miss casey and me…

i returned to the booth and everyone asked what she said. i told them about how he was the happiest dog on the planet, how he was sorry for nailing the president & how he enjoyed dressing up & his colors amongst other stuff. he was immediately showered with numerous items of clothing by rescue “aunties” who set out shopping for him..and from that day forward he attended every rescue event wearing his feather boas…in the proper colors..of course. something he wore the day he went to the buffet. on special occasion miss sally wears them…& she wears his braided leather collar all the time as well.

so yes..i can truly see mr cooper in a stunning purple & yellow patterned tube top strutting his stuff.

Lois, where in PA was this psychic?! I live in Chadds Ford and I really want to speak to one to hear what my boys are thinking (although thinking might be too strong a word;) Cat, I love ABBA too–I saw the movie “Mamma Mia” which was pretty cute. If you love ABBA, you should see it! Never saw “Muriel’s Wedding” but just googled it and am definitely renting it!

I took Slinky to a pet communicator once at a Basset Rescue event, and I have to admit she got a lot of things right. I just went for some fun.

I am surprised both the psychic and communicator didn’t say anything about their mischief and plots to rule the world.

Slinky’s favorite color is Irish Green! Slinky has worn some costumes without much fuss, but I don’t press the issue too much.

As for ABBA, I’m not much of a fan!
