It sure was a nail biter last night…..
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Rugs Doyle lovers! Wow, it sure was a nail biter last night as the 9:00pm deadline for voting loomed large. Wen, from Senior Hounds Abound was updating the tally about every 20 minutes and I must have refreshed Rugs voting booth about 100 times. I really wanted himz to get a month. He is such a stalwart resident of basset hound town. Here he with his Mom, Cindy bending over and Kerry and her daughter Hannah, also residents of basset hound town.
Well, our boy squeaked by to win spot number 12 on the calendar! Whew!
Congratulations Rugs! I know howl proud your Mommy is going to be next year when she gets to your dear month because I felt that pride this morning! I could barely wait for 10-1-10!
Congrats to all of the 2011 winners and have a great October 1st everyone!

That’s great news, I so wanted Rugs to win. Rugs is so deserving.
That’s my big boy! He’s such a sweetheart and I really wanted to do this for him on his 12th year. We couldn’t have asked for a better fit for our household. He gets along with dogs, cats, people, small kids, everybody and everything. He has been a joy and always welcomed our fosters and all the fosters took to him first because he was just so go with them no matter what age. My brother in law has a puppy that he brings over on the weekends to run the yard because he lives in an apt and Rugs plays with that puppy like he’s 2 years old! It’s too cute. The others all snarl and growl at her.
I LOVE MY RUGS! And yes, I’m so very proud.
But for now, we’re turning our calendar and we’re going to enjoy looking at our mayor the whole month of October! What a handsome mayor we have.
