Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and learning howl Emma can get into bed without making a grouchy Mayor Mad Lovers….
Emma has an art about it.
First she moves cautiously towards the target, aka bed…
She knows that the Mayor is sleeping which means he is very grumpy. She moves ever so silently towards her goal….
Nice! The grump is still sound asleep! Emma continues her stealth moves!
OK, almost there. Deep breath…
Emma thinks, “Oh for the love of Dog, I think I have made it. He is still snoring….”
Big Sigh…….Big Dreams……

That is too funny. Jethro is our grump but Harriet is the one that wakes up attacking if you scare her in her sleep. She’s never bitten anyone but I have to laugh at people’s reactions to her when she decides to be grumpy. She can make you think she’s tearing in to you and never make a scratch. Sadly, this is the result of her being mistreated for the first 7 to 8 years of her life. She’s 300 percent better with trusting people since we’ve had her but I doubt she’ll ever totally trust.
It is amazing that they both can fit on one bed. All hell broke loose last week when Bumper got out of the bed and Abby tried to get in. They were snarling at each other – solution – I bought another bed – result – two happy hounds! Chaps and Bumper are both grumpy sleepers.
This is sooooooooooo Emma, it just shows how thoughtful and considerate she is.
