Cabin fever!

January 19th, 2011 - 9:09 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Cabin Fever Haters! Well, most of my dear readers know howl Grandma and I love to get out and explore! We have been house bound due to this winter season. It is just so boring!

So, I just found out that this weekend is a HUGE RV show near Dayton, OH! We really want to go!

It has been my dream goal to buy a mini RV! This is my dream fantasy. When I get stressed sometimes I google mini RVs and just look at them. I think they are called Class C.

This is me back in 2008 dreaming! My Mom, Dad and I took Wendel Flopbottom, a stuffed basset hound that was doing a fundraiser back then. I took him to an RV show with me! hehehe

This is the outside picture of a class C RV!

My dream is to have one similar to this but totally black so I can put my magnets on it. I hate that swirl/line paint job. YUCK

More excited about the dream later…..Cat, Chaps and Emma

Here is the one I google!

I actually e-mailed them and asked if I could get one all black! They said yes but it would cost more of course! Hey, I can dream! Sigh….

i love hitting the rv shows…its fun to see all the different ones..i’m partial to the roadtrek ones..& of course the little house on wheels..which isn’t really an rv but really a real little house on wheels.

i would say go for it! climb in & out, get lots of brochures, & just enjoy yourselves! nothing on the agenda this weekend…supposed to get more snow on friday…getting tired of this…how many days until spring????

Hey Lois! I wish you could go with us! We would have a huge time!

What fun! It is fun to dream but it would be better if you could actually get it huh?

Fortunately we don’t have to contend with the snow and ice that you guys have to contend with. We are getting some rain every few days but that’s nothing compared to up north. It’s supposed to get down to freezing a few nights this week but during the day it goes right back up to the 40’s and 50’s.

My big adventure this weekend is taking Sassie to her very first adoption event in north Houston. It’s an hour drive one way but that’s ok. It’ll be worth it to me if I can find her a home. Everybody wish us luck!!!

Have fun looking at RV’s Cat and Grandma!

Good Luck Sassie and Cindy! If I had my mini RV I would drive you guys there and bribe someone to take her! hehehehe

I wonder how much mileage you get to a gallon of gas in one of these. Perhaps if you brought Chaps and Emma with you a discount would be provided, because after all this would be a community vehicle for Basset Hound Town, and maybe Chaps and Emma could help with advertising for an additional discount.

I never thought you got snow in Kentucky! I think of Kentucky as a southern state.

I wish you had that mini RV! Thanks for the good luck wishes cuz we sure need it. I’m going to try and not be disappointed if I don’t get any hits. But just in case, I’ve copied 3 adoption applications and 2 foster applications that I’m bringing with me. Hehehehehehe! I’m soooo glad I’m familiar with rescue so I know what I need to do to get rid of her as fast as I can. Now, if it works, that’s another story!

Ohhh, how much fun I had RV shopping with auntie Cat! I’m a road-hound at heart! Give Chaps and Emma bellyrubs from me.

Good Luck Cindy and Sassie! I hope she finds a wonderful home.

Cat – we’ve always wanted an Ultravan – the all white one that looks like a cloud or marshmallow rolling down the road.

Weather forecast for us: tonight 2-4 inches of snow, winds to 35 miles an hour and windchill about 20 below zero. Unfortunately for us, during the day tomorrow it’s going to get even colder. The next few days our high temps will be 10 and our lows around zero. (I’m trying to make you all feel better … is it working?)

Hi OM! It would be so cool if we get our RVs and meet half way!

We are going to get at about minus 6 degrees tonight. That is super cold for us! I have my cabinet doors open in the kitchen and the water dripping! The kids are under a few more blankets. It is so funny because the Mayor does not like to be covered up but he is so cuddled up to our Shimlette! LOL!

Wendell we love you and we had so much fun! Tell your Mommy Susan we love her too!

Oh, OneMom I love the van that looks like a cloud. It would look great with Cat’s magnets. Chaps and Emma floating on clouds.

Wendell, it is great to hear from you. Wondered how you were doing after your road tour. Nice picture of you sitting in the RV with Cat.

I like the RV shows too. It really is fun to dream about having the freedom to travel anywhere around the country. Meet new people, see more hounds, take lots of photos.

Hum….The van that looks like a cloud. I must google that and see what you girls are talking about. More later….

Well, no RV show for us today. The Mayor is happy about it and Emma is tripping the light fantastic.

The show was about an hour and a half from here and the highways are sheets of ice. It is just not worth it. This morning it was 3 degrees. It is what I call scary cold.

Oh well……I think I will do some de-hairing of the house……or take a nap?????
