The Mayor predicts an early spring – HE DID NOT SEE HIS SHADOW THIS GROUND HOUND DAY!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Early Spring Lovers! Oh, I can’t wait…….
Anyway the Mayor, as many of our dear readers know, is also a spring predictor. By many it is known as ground hog day but in bassethoundtown it is known as ground hound day.
This morning the Mayor followed his normal routine of sleeping in until about 7:00am. Then he rolled out of bed and stared at me, licking his lips until about 7:15. The Mayor had a warm breakfast and several treats. Then, it was time for our Mayor to go to work predicting the arrival of spring.
He knows howl very important this prediction is to his residents so he is very detailed. Here he is starting his task of predicting when Spring will come……
He then looks to his right…..No Shadow!
Then to his left……No Shadow!
Then, being the detailed ground hound dog that he is, he looks down…..No Shadow!
“Hey Mommy! I did not see my shadow!”
Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeee dear Mayor and Momma’s big important boy! That means an early spring for all of the residents of bassethoundtown! YES!
Wow, our Mayor works so hard for his residents!
Now it is his break time…..

YES!!!!!! We are soooo ready for spring. A couple of days ago I was giving Colby Chaps and Abby a bath outside in the 80 degree weather and tonight it’s 15 degrees — WHAT!!!! We’re hoping for some snow tomorrow night!!!!
Oh…..and wanted to mention how cute Chaps was keeping us all informed!!!!! Love it!!!! and the couch photos too!!! Makes me just want to snuggle right up there with him.
This is wonderful news, I going out and purchase some spring and summer wear.
I can also county on Mayor Chaps to be thorough.
