Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and wondering why we are officially bored with ourselves lovers! OMD – we are so bored with winter and being holed up. I was thinking about this today and was thinking about howl utterly boring my blog has become. We can do nothing or go nowhere. We just sit and freeze. So, I decided to do something today that was more boring than one can imagine. Clean my kitchen. Yes, I have reached a new blogging low!
The Mayor even seemed bored with me.
He found staring at the sleeting sheets of ice more entertaining than being my loyal hound doggie….
This particular cleaning is not just a normal kitchen cleaning. It is what I call a deep cleaning. Doing the china cabinets and stuff like cleaning out the drawers. Then, I opened a drawer and found this old photograph. It was taken back in 2001 I think.
((((((((Grandpa)))))))). He demolished my old kitchen and designed my new kitchen. Let’s just say I had a few moments.
As I was tearing up Chaps walked back into the kitchen and stood in the very spot that I took this picture of Grandpa. Himz is a loyal hound doggie and I cannot believe I questioned that.
Maybe cleaning the kitchen isn’t so boring after all…..
Memories are never boring……
More loving a presumably boring day later…Cat, Chaps and Emma
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Snow in TX lovers! Chaps son, Colby Chaps lives near San Antonia, TX and well let’s just say they don’t see snow that often! I would hazard to guess, they have not seen snow for years. So, when Colby Chaps woke up on Friday morning himz could not believe himz eyes!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Early Spring Lovers! Oh, I can’t wait…….
Anyway the Mayor, as many of our dear readers know, is also a spring predictor. By many it is known as ground hog day but in bassethoundtown it is known as ground hound day.
This morning the Mayor followed his normal routine of sleeping in until about 7:00am. Then he rolled out of bed and stared at me, licking his lips until about 7:15. The Mayor had a warm breakfast and several treats. Then, it was time for our Mayor to go to work predicting the arrival of spring.
He knows howl very important this prediction is to his residents so he is very detailed. Here he is starting his task of predicting when Spring will come……
He then looks to his right…..No Shadow!
Then to his left……No Shadow!
Then, being the detailed ground hound dog that he is, he looks down…..No Shadow!
“Hey Mommy! I did not see my shadow!”
Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeee dear Mayor and Momma’s big important boy! That means an early spring for all of the residents of bassethoundtown! YES!
Wow, our Mayor works so hard for his residents!
Now it is his break time…..
More dreaming of spring later…..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma (assistant couch hog)
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Bluegrass lovers. Well, of course we are all one of those. I love BLUEGRASS MUSIC….
Rollin’ in my sweet baby arms!
Emma in Grandma’s arms!
We hope you love Bluegrass later…Cat, Chaps and Emma
PS, loving KY later…
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Thunder Snow Haters! Well, there is no nice way to put it. Thunder on February the 1st? Not a good thing.
That aside we cannot really complain. The part of basset hound town that we live in is pretty lucky, actually. We were right on the edge of the monster storm and we are very thankful for that. This morning we had a thin sheet of ice. It was so odd, it was foggy ice! The fog was thick and it was all ice. Too strange!
Here is the Mayor hunkering down for the predicted thunder snow. We have not needed a storm pill in I cannot remember when! I hope we don’t need one. I think we will be fine.
Here is the Mayor listening to the weather channel reporting from the blizzard in the bassethoundtown of Chicago.
The radar shows the monster storm of 2011!
The Mayor stays close to those he loves…..me and the fridge!
More hoping we don’t hear thunder snow later…..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
