Phil, the Groundhog saw his shawdow today and has predicted 6 more weeks of winter.
I have implicit faith in Mayor Chaps so I will defer to his judgement/prediction.
Yeah! Winter is over. Thanks, Chaps! Who cares what that oversized rodent in PA says. The Mayor would never steer us wrong. Next stop – shorts and tshirt weather.
I didn’t see his shadow, either BOL
Candy – rodent rumor has it that Pux Phil, is not even allowed to participate. All of those dancing men, make a decision based on the almanac. It’s just a rumor, but feel free to spread it! hehehe
What a cute video! Love the way you did it. Everytime I hear the word groundhound I see a pile of hamburger meat. Ha! I know, I’m weird.
But, unlike everyone else I’d like to see some cold weather here in south Texas. I miss winter! Maybe The Mayor can send it to just us.
I always thought those guys dancing around Phil were half in the bag. And so early in the morning. At least we know Chaps is stone cold sober and takes his duty very seriously.

Ronald told me that they had an article in the paper today about how they don’t use that groundhog to determine whether we’ll have 6 more weeks of winter or not. It’s all show.
CJROH – Tell Ronald I totally agree with him. It is all a ruse. (sp?) The Mayor is the only one and true predictor of Spring. Thank you very much, and Ronald! hehehehe
First of all, I don’t know why Phil doesn’t take a big bite out of those guys! Second, how did the Mayor NOT see his shadow on such a nice sunny day in BHT? I mean I’m all for winter being over, but I’m a little confused. In other news, our little hogs (Nell and Sophie) had no hope of seeing their shadows yesterday … it was 33 degrees and raining/snowing much of the day. Bye-bye to winter (Cindy, I’ll gladly send it your way).
OM – He did not see his shadow because he was looking at the treat. I saw his shadow, but he didn’t even notice it. If you watch the video again, you see he walks right past his shadow;)
Cat…..I love the video….and love our Big Daddy more. Colby looks so much like him. That’s ok if he didn’t see his shadow — I’m sure the treat was much better!!!
