YouTube find of the day. Soooo cute.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and YouTube find of the day lovers.  I thought this was soooooo cute.  I wonder what she is saying to the hound?  The hound seems to understand it all.

It is probably something about a treat.

I used to say to my Dad, “Look at Chaps looking at me with love in his eyes”, and my Dad would say, “I think that’s hunger”.  hehehe

More loving multilingual hounds later….Cat, Chaps and Emma

I think she says what a good Basset this hound is, and she is saying how much she loves this Basset.

    That’s my guess.

I would have been laughing so hard. It’s always so cute to when when they cock their head. Harriet does that sometimes but the other 3 don’t.

My Zoey does that sometimes (not quite that much!) She is also a talker. I mean I think she really thinks she is telling me something. Not howling, talking. All the time. All the time! If I am sitting on the couch and talking on the phone, she gets louder and just looks at me! does anyone else have a basset that talks like this???

Sandy – Emma talks a lot. We have entire conversations first thing in the morning which I call Emma cuddle time and at meal times. She also like to talk to Grandma upstairs from our front door. She will bark over and over to get me to open the door. It sounds like she is saying “Gamma”. I try to teach her words and she always says, “I’m hungry”. “Hurry”. and much more. Gawd she is special…..hehehe

its not that Zoey is barking, its more of a growly talking. Its about as loud as if you were talking to someone sitting next to you.

It must be a girl thing because Harriet will talk your ear off. She has to tell me when it’s supper time, that she needs an after dinner mint, that she wants to be petted. And I know exactly what she’s saying too. Then there’s the brothers. She thinks she has way too many brothers, and she does. She’s always bossing them around. It took a while for Jethro to get used to it but they all just ignore her or turn around and walk away. It’s really funny. And she’s got the prettiest howl that she does when I’m getting on my bye bye shoes. She doesn’t like it when I put those on. Ha!
