The Mayor Rallies today!

March 14th, 2012 - 8:08 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Hounds that Rally Lovers!  Well, today we took the kids to a park that sits atop a ridge of hills.  Wow, the breeze was nice and somewhat cool.  Even though the temp was upper 70s it felt nice and cool to the Mayor. Himz loves a good breeze!

After yesterdays fail, we were just going to take him for a nice ride.

He wanted out of the basset hauling vehicle in the worst way! YES!

Himz was a new man.  No eating grass he moved forward with purpose.  We were not as fast as Grandma and Emma but I was happy as a lark!

We only went a short distance, like yesterday, but boy what a difference a day makes!

We had such a great afternoon.  Both kids love to ride in the BHV.

Just prior to going home we swung by the Ft. Thomas Dog Park.  We don’t do the park because Emma is allergic to everything and Chaps…well…does not care for other dogs.  But look who we saw!

Marsie and her young girl hound Nosey!  What a treat!

So much fun….

More loving different days later…Cat, Chaps and Emma

Love seeing those basset ears flying! Too cute. So glad that the Mayor is back to normal. Too bad you can’t visit the park with him. I can kind of understand as Jethro isn’t too keen of other dogs. Not even Oz and Harriet. I guess you could call him a “one dog, dog”. He loves Rugs to death but he’s the only one he likes being around. When we go to dog parks I have to watch him around other dogs. He doesn’t even like to play. He’s weird.

Oh, Jethro is not weird. He just does not like other dogs. I understand Chaps reasons. I don’t force it or try to make it work. I just can’t put him in any situations where he is with other dogs. Besides Grandma and I his favorite thing is little kids. He adores them and cannot get enough. He flourishes like a flower in the rain when he gets around kids. It is soooooooooo cute. You can see it in his face if he even hears a kid. He is the perfect school hound! hehehe

Oh, Cat, I’m SOOOO happy that the Mayor is back to his esteemed self:))) Has he been to the Library lately–for the kids (knowing how he loves the low 2-leggers:)?

As mothers we just know our furkids’ idiosyncrasies, and love them none the less for them:) Glad that Chaps recovered from his “spell”:)

i took buster, lowla & sally to a local state park last weekend for a nice hike because it was so nice. 1st “death march” of the season (so called because buster is not a fan of nature)…we were quite a sight..buster with the ‘donut of shame on..he had surgery about 10 days ago to remove a lump on his back so he was sporting the franken-basset look

it was nice to get out & wander…the winter has been so mild here but still we didn’t do much hiking or anything …so it was great strolling!

glad you guys enjoyed your wanderings as well!
