Grandma and I are Fanilows! Do you know what that is?
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Fanilow Lovers…..A Fanilow is a Barry Manilow Fan. I have had Barry on my mixed tapes since the 1970s. Love The Barry! Anyway….He was in town last night. There is a new arena at Northern Kentucky University. NKY is really near our home.
Here is Grandma buying her ticket. We decided to go with the cheap seats in the peanut gallery. Get this. Our tickets were only 10 dollars a piece! His VIP seats go for 150.00ish. They were sold out the day the concert was announced.
This was his first tour since his 7 year contact in Vegas was up. Northern KY was his first stop!
I had to put on my bling for my Barry! I know most every word to most every song.
Here is our view from the nose bleed section….
I screamed so loud during this song that Barry stopped and looked up and said, “I still got it!”

What a good time we had at the concert, I couldn’t believe how loud she could scream and to be answer back by Barry really made it special.
I AM SO JEALOUS! What girl from our era didn’t grow up knowing all the words to Barry Manilow songs? A lot of singing into hair brushes was done to his music! Have never had the opportunity to hear him in person … glad you had such a good time!
Wow! I love alot of his songs! Glad you got to go see him in person you two! On the 19th I got to see another wonderful artist live on stage. Peter Yarrow ( of Peter Paul and Mary fame) And Wow, he is 73 years old, and he did the concert with his son, still wonderful and going strong after all these years! Hard to belive he wrote “Puff the Magic Dragon” 50 years ago! That was cool how Barry answered back ! Way to be a fan, Cat!
I’m going to see Barry in June in Grand Rapids (Mich) I did not pay $10.00 for my tickets–you got a deal!!!
I’m not a Barry Manilow fan, but I attended a concert of his years ago, because a fellow I was dating was a real big fan. I bought the tickets as his birthday present.
