Happy Father’s Day to all of the wonderful Dads in Bassethoundtown! Yes!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Fathers Day Lovers….This is somewhat of a hard day for those of us who have a Father who is departed from us. So many memories.  Every day you miss your Dad if he is no longer living but today is kind of extra hard.

I had taken Grandpa out for lunch on Father’s Day 2006.  This was just one of the many Father’s Days we enjoyed together.

Father's day 2006

I am very glad we had so much fun.  We used to love to go to the Purple People Bridge.

So, that reminded me of this video that really uplifted my spirits!

Remember this one?

Again, to all of the Dads in town.  Thank you for being you!

Cat, What a beautiful Father’s Day card with all the hounds decked out. Happy memories to you and loving thoughts from all of us. Kiss the kids for me and I know they miss your Dad too.

I remember that video! And I sat here and watched and enjoyed it again. Great video.

I can relate to not having a Dad only I wasn’t as close to my Dad as you were. I lost my Dad 22 years ago when I was 29. I always thought I was too young to lose my Dad but a lot of kids lose their Dads at a much younger age. I’m glad he was around for the years I had him.

Happy Father’s Day to all Fathers. Even those who have left this earth.

The Father’s Day card was made especially for Dad and all the Bassets were very special to the family. The card is still on the mantel after many years because he loved it so much.

I am sorry that you don’t have your dad on Fathers Day, Cat. We all wish we have more time with the people we love. My dad is still alive but he is in the early stages of Alzheimers and I know that the day will come when he no longer recognizes me. We all need to remember to cherish our loved ones! You honor your dad’s memory everyday!

I love the Father’s Day Wiesenheim Wisdom. It’s wonderful.

By the way, Chaps and Emma have the sassiest BUTTs, of any Basset.
