Did the residents have a great Thanksgiving? The Mayor did!

November 22nd, 2012 - 11:11 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Thanksgiving Lovers….The Mayor and I slept in and enjoyed a very lazy morning.  While I was making his Turkey Breakfast I turned on the Macy’s Day Parade for himz….

I bought the Mayor a rotisserie turkey breast and added some to his kibble with a little Vermont cream butter sauce.  It was a bit rich but hey…we were giving thanks.

Look howl thankful!

The parade marches on…

I decided to buy the Mayor and I a Brita Water Pitcher.  Today was his first bowl full.

We both love the new water and are very thankful to get rid of the chemical taste.

Then I tucked the Mayor in front of the TV for the National dog show.  Of course the basset got cut for the 3rd year in a row.  Didn’t even make it on TV.

We had a great day.  We hope all of the residents did as well.

More loving a relaxing day later…Cat, Chaps and Emma ATB eating her feast with extra gravy….

We watched the National Dog Show too and were so bummed about the basset hound! Hannah was also cheering for the bull dog and the collie. We were bummed there was no sussex even in the group. That was one of the tallest Great Danes I’ve seen.

Happy Thanksgiving to all at Basset Hound Town.

I have no doubt that if Our Mayor was part of the Nation Dog Show he would be the overwhelming winner, and set the bar extremely high.

I am sure he love his Thanksgiving breakfast treat.

I gave Slinky some stuffing, turkey with gravy and some pumpkin pie. She was delighted.

What a wonderful day you and The Mayor had! Good food and relaxation. I was busy all day because I was elected to have Thanksgiving at my house. All the dogs were happy because they got endless pets and I’m sure more food from everyone’s plate than they deserved or needed. So, we had a great time. I hope everyone else had a good one too!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and Grandma and the Mayor! We had a low key Thanksgiving as both of my parents are very ill, but, still had lots of tasty treats! Nosey loves her Daddy’s “Magic Water Pitcher.” She thinks it tastes much better than plain old tap water! Baby Dumpling the Hamster thinks so too!

    Hope to see you soon!

P.S. Did you see the “Cozy Hugs” aromatherapy Basset Hounds in the drug department at Kroger? Nosey gave them as gifts last year and we picked up a few more when we saw them earlier this week. They are $6-$7 each and adorable! Last year we tied Xmas bows around their necks. A paw-some gift! xoxo
