Funny story to tell you about the Mayor. Yesterday we were driving out of town and I pointed out a house to my husband and said “that’s where the Mayor lives” … from the backseat I heard (in a good slow/low basset voice) “I am your Mayor. Chaps Rudert. Slurp!” I took Hannah to the city council meeting with me last night and she met the Mayor of our little town … she later told me that he was nice but not as nice as the Mayor of Basset Hound Town. 🙂

It was so funny that she assumed if I was talking about “the mayor” that it had to be Mayor Chaps! She has been greatly influenced by her time in Basset Hound Town (all good!). I knew you would love the story. 🙂
