Tonight in bassethoundtown it will be -24 degrees with wind chill…
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and staying under blankets lovers.
Wow, the weather people said this type of weather has not happened in 3 decades. I certainly never remember it being this shockingly cold. I only let Daisy Lynn out for about a minute and a half and I stand by the door. I have the back dog door open but the gate is up so she can’t go down. I think I will close the dog door tonight just so she does not go out without me knowing it.
I saw this on facebook and had to share. I don’t know who they are but boy o boy what a nice looking cold weather couple.
It is way too cold to go out even in these wonderful get ups but I would love to have this for Daisy Lynn. Grandma and I were talking about booties today. (The kind you wear on your paws!) hehehe
More loving get ups later…Cat, Daisy Lynn, (Chaps and Emma ATB where it is always a rainbow weather dream…)
I’m with Daisy Lynn. Hand me a blanket!
Those two dogs crack me up! I wonder how long they stayed in that getup? I tried putting some booties on my dogs and they would either kick them off or they stood there like a statue. But, mine were just socks. Let me know if you get some booties for Daisy Lynn and how she does.
We sure are hit with some bone chilling cold. Abby does not go out unless I make her and Bumper doesn’t stay out very long at all. It has been a long time since it was this cold. When Fort Thomas Independent Schools are closed it is REALLY cold, REALLY hot or a whole lot of snow! Stay warm everyone!
We are really cold here too!! The snow hasn’t stopped since Saturday. Now the lake effect has started, we got over 18″of new snow on top of what we already had. Another 7″ coming tonight & tomorrow. Ollie really doesn’t like it at all. He is smart & goes where the snow is piled high by the plow because it blocks the wind.
The snow yesterday was deeper than he was tall.
This winter reminds me of Jan 1978. Everybody stay warm!!
Sandy – I remember that winter! I was at UK and they closed the campus. It was brutal.
This is excellent weather to sleep with and snuggle with a Basset.
Cat- Ollie slept under 2 blankets last night. I put the flannel sheets on our bed. Toasty warm! We are expecting 3 inches of snow tonight. Roads are still snow covered & icy. Not sure if schools will be opened on Wed. We got busy & started taking down the Christmas trees & decorations. We got the outside stuff down on Sat before all the snow came. Stay warm!
