I’d love to go to England and just be a part of some of Basset Hound walking events.

I to am surprised that so many of the Bassets are off of their leash. I don’t think I could have done that with Slinky or now with Singer.

Love it! What beautiful scenery and lots of water. This is the same place every year? I don’t remember all the water last time I watched.

I love the video!! The scenery is so pretty there – I especially like the area by the river or creek. It is amazing how many walk off leash. I would never do that. I really hate it when someone does that too. Leashes protect your dog.

CJOHR – No it is not the same place. They pick a different location every month. So, we all get to see so much of England. I just love the club but like Ollie’s Mom said I would never let any hound of mine off a leash. Thank you Karen, I enjoy picking out the videos from YouTube for the residents. Very Much! Love Cat and Daisy Lynn

I wanted to comment on the leash thing. I think that depends on a lot of things. You know your hound and if they can be trusted and will always come back to you when called, off leash may be ok. I do think it’s nice to give them some freedom. That being said, I’d NEVER let Harriet off leash. I cannot trust her and she’s too fast and in to everything. Now Oz, it’s possible. He’s old and slow and always follows us around anyway. I could catch him if he decided to trot off. And Jethro, he would have to be on a leash for the opposite reason. I usually have to drag him along cuz he walks about a block then decides he’s done.
