Best Boys…(Update 5/10/14 Jethro Bodean Doyle)

May 8th, 2014 - 5:05 pm KY Time

UPDATE – DARLING AND BELOVED JETHRO HAS CROSSED OVER THE BRIDGE TO MEET HIS FRIEND RUGS.  Jethro was able to spend the last weeks of his life with his Mom, Cindy’s full attention.  He got to eat exactly what he wanted and was very much doted upon.  He will be missed very much by the bassethoundtown residents but especially by me.

Oh Colby! I think you need to pack your bags and find a better home. I want to know why someone’s hand isn’t rubbing that precious belly.

Oh Jethro. My big bad boy. He turned 13 on March 21. He likes the cool tile in the entryway.

Cindy – sorry Jethro isn’t feeling well. 🙁 We are sending Sophie and Mabel drool (plenty of that!).

Colby and Jethro are some of the most delightful residents of Basset Hound Town. They both set the bar very very high.

Oh Cindy – we are so sorry and so sad for you. Jethro was a wonderful, handsome grumpy hound. We will light a candle to help him on his journey to the bridge. I know he and Rugs will have lots to catch up on (along with Chaps, Emma, Max, Nell-dog, Lolly, and so many more that will be there to welcome Jethro into the fold.)

    🙁

Oh we are so sad to see that the Doyle family has lost their beloved Jethro! We know how your hearts are breaking right now. Please accept hugs, slobber and drool from everyone in the Alessandro home. RIP Jethro

Thanks for the kind words. Jethro had a very rough year and in the end, cancer took him. He had a great life. As grumpy as he was, but we loved him dearly.

I am so sorry to hear about Jethro, he was a Basset Hound Town favorite. I know the Doyle Family gave him lovely caring life. As I remember it, Jethro held the record for the longest ears

Cindy, we’ve not met, but being a fellow basset lover too, we feel your loss. Jethro was an absolute beauty and I wish I could have touched his ears! Take time to grieve and remember the wonderful, sweet traits that made you fall in love with Jethro.
