Homemade Frosty Paws from Aunt Judy!

August 27th, 2014 - 7:07 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Homemade Frosty Paws Lovers…Today Judy (of Bumper and Abby) and I went out to lunch.  We had a great outing and the highlight was ending up on the floor with Bumper and Abby.  I was too busy rubbing necks and bellies that I forget to get a picture which is totally upsetting me right about now!

Judy sent me home with 3 of her homemade frosty paws!

Daisy Lynn attacked me when I walked through the door.

Grandma could not get it to her fast enough!

The heat index was 100 degrees today!  The yum index was 100%!

More loving cool treats on a hot day later…Cat, Daisy Lynn (Chaps and Emma ATB waiting for the recipe!)

PS – Judy will you write down the recipe in the comment section?  I actually tried some of this and it was delicious.  Thank you so much.  So much fun today!

Bumper and Abby were so happy to share their special Frosty Paw treats with Daisy Lynn. It looks like she loves them too. Bumper and Abby had to have one when I got Daisy Lynn’s out of the freezer! They are so simple and reasonably priced to make. I use styrofoam coffee cups and cut the top 1/3 or so off. Recipe follows:
    3-4 ripe bananas
1 cup peanut butter – I use generic brand
32 ounces yogurt – I used vanilla flavor and generic brand
Mix together with a mixer and pour into cups. Using styrofoam cups this recipe makes 16-18. I double it when I make it. Freeze until firm and then I put small aluminum foil pieces over the tops. Enjoy these delicious treats hounds!!

It is always a great day having lunch with Cat.

Thanks Judy! Your recipe is bassetabulous and humans love it too! It was so funny watching Abby running around with her cup in her mouth. So cute. Bumper is such a determined soul. He just lays with his cup between his paws and licks! Summer days, Summer fun!
