Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and fun for all dogs lovers…I have blogged about this Hamilton County Park before, Miami White Water Forest…It is the largest park in Hamilton County Ohio so there is no way you can see it all in one day. Grandma, Daisy Lynn and I decided to have our weekend on Thursday. It was a freak fall like day in July.
Just look at these paddle boats!
Don’t you just love the swans? Daisy Lynn cannot ride in them but she can ride in this little, cute, mini, pontoon boat!
Here is a better shot. Dogs are allowed in it and you rent it by the hour.
It costs 40.00 per hour but we think it is going to be well worth it. I need to get Daisy Lynn a life jacket so we will book our lake cruise in early fall. Maybe we will spring for 2 hours!!! Yours truly behind the wheel!
The park was hoppin’ filled with fun and this little girl!
Her and Daisy Lynn are both 2 years old! Her hair was the same color as Daisy Lynn’s red patches…

I thought she actually looked like a little dairy cow laying in the green pasture…
Then that patch of sun left the area and she found another place to sun her face!!!

We all have been on such an adventure these past wonderful months of having her in our world. Such a joy…donning her cute birthday bonnet!
She even let me wear it! hehehe
Mayor Daisy looks much better in it than I do for surez…

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and napping lovers…Today we were too busy to get a good walk in. Daisy Lynn was not upset about it at all. This hound loves her naps for sure!
This is her “waiting” for her breakfast!!!
Then this afternoon I was checking on her and this is what I found…

I turned on her fan and the AC was already set to 73.
Gawd she made me so tired.
I think the decision not to fold a walk into our day was a hit!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Fishin’ lovers! As our summer of parks tour continue we visited Lake Isabella in Loveland, Ohio yesterday! It is about a half hour from bassethoundtown’s headquarters. Boy oh boy was it worth the drive and we don’t even fish!!!!
The picnicking maybe the best yet.
We made Sriracha chicken salad sandwiches (too spicy for the Mayor)!
Check out this green space! It was as far as the eye could see and flat as a pancake. Just perfect for walking…
The weather was perfect so we got in about 10,000 steps in total yesterday. We did a lot of resting along the way. Here is another area to picnic.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and relaxing lovers…get this, this morning it was 55 degrees. Yes, you read it right…55 delicious July degrees. Can you believe it? Most folks were on their way to a parade but not us…
We picked relaxing by the Ohio River in all of it’s glory…
Away from the maddening crowd and the fireworks, this is the place for us!
See my walking meter? I guess it was not all rest and relaxation. We got over 10,000 steps today!!!
