We took a long walk and came back to our pretty place. Daisy Lynn was all tuckered out!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Facebook find of the day lovers…When I saw this picture it really hit home for me.  The smile on my face was huge, huger, hugeist!

When I was a little girl for years I was obsessed with pigs.  Still am really.  I had a poster similar to this one hanging over my bed…

This is my window sill now!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Hydrangea Lovers…Yes, I am hell bent.  I think I might declare the Hydrangea as the second official flower of bassethoundtown.  Of course the Daisy is the first official flower!  I have tried so hard to grow the hydrangea but always fail.

So here is my new crop.  Try, try again…

I was told to plant them where they can get morning sun and shade in the afternoon.  Also to add whatever is in that bag to the soil.

Daisy Lynn and I want to see them from our front window!

If you look in the window Daisy Lynn is on her perch.  She was busy trying to show a fly who is boss!

So, do any of the residents have any suggestions for growing hydrangeas?  All advise is welcome.

Grandpa was a master gardener.  Wish I could ask him.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and share time lovers…I have been very busy in the basement/garage of bassethoundtown clearing out the clutter.  Grandma and I have been working for years sorting through the stuff we all store for no reason at all…except for this treasured find!

My favorite picture ever of myself!

I dusted it off and placed it next to another treasured item.  I just love this little basset hound.  You really can’t see it, but I am wearing a TWA Junior Hostess pin.  Do you guys remember those?  When you flew back then the stewardesses would give each kid her/his “wings”.  I think I wore it for about a year!

So clean out those basements folks, ya never know what you will fly across…

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and my Grand-dog lovers…I just love this guy.  I cannot believe that I have never hugged his beautiful neck…

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Abby Mead Lovers…We were certainly all one of those.  The hardest part of running a town are the obituaries.  Abby of course was family to me.

She is survived by her humans.  Mommy Audra, Daddy Mike, sister Jourdan, Grandma Charlene, and Grandpa Glenn.

She is also survived by her bonded pair brother Colby Chaps Mead.

Audra was with her from the beginning of her rescue from the streets to the end of her stay here on earth.

Colby Chaps was as well…

This is one of my personal favorites of Abby Mead…with her human sister, Jourdan in the bluebonnets of TX.

The story of Abby’s rescue is an amazing one…

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and fairest of them all lovers…I had kind of an epiphany the other day when I saw Daisy Lynn kind of noticing herself in the reflection of our sliding glass door.  I realized that Daisy Lynn really had never seen herself.  Can you imagine going through life and never seeing yourself?  So, I bought her a mirror!!!

I figured that a good place would be by her water dish, where she spends a fair amount of time…

Here she is getting a drink…

I even left a small treat next to her bowl so she would stick around a few more seconds…

Nothing…

So far, she just does not care…

about seeing her beautiful self…

What a pretty and sweet girl for sure…

Very interesting mirror study…I will keep the residents posted.

Do any of the town hounds look at themselves in the mirror?
