Howllo Fellow Hound and Ironhound lovers: This is one true contender!
Don’t mess with his white couch!

Howllo Fellow Hound and hounds that wear snood lovers: I am just over the moon about this! I added these two snoods into my boutique and within hours they sold to the wonderful hound Cindy Lou!
Look how pretty she looks! This is
COUNTRY ROADS TAKE ME HOME SNOOD!
This is very fetching indeed!
Cindy Lou’s Mommy also bought her
LIFE IS A PATCHWORK QUILT SNOOD!
Her Mommy states,
“After I took the snood off, I was holding it in my hand, and she kept barking at me. I put it back on, and she gleefully ran off to roll it away. Took it off again, and she barked at it again, this time on the table. Put it on again, she got all excited and rolled around. As I took it off the table she was grabbing it just like she does her leash when she knows it’s walk time. She must think it’s a new toy.”
Hey, whatever makes them happy!
I am thrilled that she likes them. I know we love looking at her in these dandy creations! Made my night!
More snoods later…Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
Howllo Fellow Hound and Gold Rush lovers: I FINALLY have the gold rush totals for this totally pawsome package that Marty Clark sent to me for the gold rush. Marty is a BROOD volunteer. Please check out Brood’s website at:
BASSET HOUND RESCUE OF OLD DOMINION
Marty, your items were so bassetabulous and get this!
They were worth 115.00! Some of the items were not gold so I donated them to the breast cancer costume jewelery box at the jewelry store I go to.
These are the items that Marty donated. Most of the gold was 18K which brings in more doe! Yipeeeeeeeeeeeee! Also, as you can see, there is a chain at the very bottom that was 14K.
This was a wonderful donation from a Brood volunteer. These items were 18K and help out the House of Puddles in a huge way!
That cool pink pin was broken but the gold was 18K. I had them pop out the center piece and I want to use it in the future for something! I think it looks like Marilyn! What do you think?
The other items were costume but hey, I beg for these pieces because you just never know!
These three pieces were donated to the breast cancer awareness box. Many of our regional jewelry stores have them and they fix the pieces and donate them to women who are going through chemo. It helps to have a pretty piece like one of these to ease the pain. I love that idea!
Thank you Marty, your donation will be sent to the HOP and 100% will go to the elder hounds. Basset hound town loves you for this and I know HOP does as well.
Please remember, you do not need to donate gold to give to the HOP Gold Rush! You can simply go to Firstgiving and give! Here is the link!

More good news later….Cat, Chaps and Emma
Howllo Fellow Hound and bastiff lovers???
Well, we really do not know “who’s your daddy”, but these little guys look like bastiffs to me. Melynda, a friend of mine coined the term and I love it.
These little guys arrived as surprise packages at the House of Puddles. Many of you will remember that Marilyn, of the HOP, agreed to take in 11 year old April who was part of an animal hording situation in KY. She was skin and bones when she arrived at the HOP. April started gaining weight rapidly and Marilyn was shocked to find out she was preggers. Poor girl. Days later the monster pups arrived.
Both are boys and are named after two dearly departed boys from the HOP, Fred and Rudolph. The first picture is little Rudy and the second pic is little Freddie!
April and her boys are being fostered currently at a Rudolph’s Farm. Are they not the cutest boys you have ever seen?
April is doing great and Marilyn cannot wait to get her back at the HOP where she will NEVER see another of her many litters again. I am sure she is ready to start living large with the other HoPpers!
More Bastiff news later….Cat, Chaps and Emma
Howllo Fellow Hound and blowing out the birthday candle lovers: OMG! I just realized that I did not get a birthday cake! That means I did not get to blow out a candle or I should say 51 of them. Bummer. OK, I am going to make of point of blowing out a candle today and making my wish. The Universe needs all the help it can get!
More wishing later…Cat, Chaps and Emma
Howllo Fellow Hound and Lily’s Basset Bucks Lovers:
I was absolutely thrilled with the response for this fund raiser. I started this fund raiser with a Vlog and I am ending it with one. This Vlog is about 10 minutes long. Yawn! Even I got bored with me! hehehe
The great news is that we raised about 944.00 dollars. I am still waiting on one more donation and someone to double check my most excellent math skills. All of this should be complete this week and then I will write the checks or paypal the rescues that signed up. I will contact each one of them individually.
I loved this fund raiser because it was so simple. All the basset bucks can really add up as you can see!
Plus the added bonus of me Vlogging!

So, here it is folks!
More Later…Cat, Chaps and Emma
P.S. Remember it is about 10 minutes long and I tried to make it quick! Chaps and Emma do make an appearance! Slurp

This has just been the best birthday ever! I love my family and friends!
Howllo Fellow Hound and Lily Lovers: Well, this is the final installment of what my back yard gave to me for my birthday. It was so pawsome and fun. The gifts just kept coming all morning long. This final gift really got to my heart. As many of you know today is the last day for my year long Lily’s basset bucks fund-raiser. It has been a huge success and I am working on the totals right now. I am also working on a Vlog to report the totals. I hope to have that up later today.
Anyway, after I saw the cardinal drying his wings I turned to go inside. That is when I spotted the first ditch Lily of the season, in bloom in my back yard.
I had a nice little happy cry because I knew my Lily made it bloom for me today as a birthday gift from her. Most folks call them day Lilie’s, but around here they grow really good in ditches. We had an entire field of them behind the home that I brought Lily to. That is how she got her name from her Grandma. I have rolls, and rolls, of pictures of her in front of the massive fields, but they are not loaded onto this computer. I will do that soon and it will be a real treat, I guarantee it. I transplanted all of the Lilies I have today at my home from that field. They are very special to me.
As you can see this Lily bloomed right in front of a statue that we call, “Our Lady of the Basset Hounds”. My Dad named the statue that because Lily would always lay in front of her, right at her feet.
Thank you sweet Lily ATB for coming to me today and showing me how much we are still connected. I love you sweet girl and I know you would be proud of all the money your raised for bassets across this United States. Your love is a driving force for me.
I Love you Lily, forever your Mommy
Howllo Fellow Hound and Cardinal lovers: Well, right after I captured my darling Emma in her stream of early morning sun light. I turned and saw a cardinal having a bath in my neighbor’s bird bath. It was too far away to get a picture, and that kind of bummed me out, but still, I took it as another birthday present. Then just as if the big red guy read my mind, he flew over and landed on my upper terraced area to dry his bright red feathers.
I am not sure, it might be his morning ritual because I have wild strawberries growing in that section. How sweet, a cold bath then breakfast in basset hound town. Life is Yummy! Come back anytime you beautiful boy!
Part 3 coming later today…Cat, Chaps and Emma
