Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and the Mayor out of surgery lovers! OMG! That was a long wait. Chaps did not go into his procedure until noon instead of 10:00am. I know the poor guy had to be beside himself waiting in a kennel run. He is going to need so much love tonight. I get to pick him up around 4:00ish. I wonder if he can have a few McDonald’s fries. What do you think?

Here is a picture of me telling Emma the good news. I kept saying,
“Chaps be back, Chaps be back.”

Happy days are hear again, the hounds are jumping up and down again, happy days are here again! LOL

I never let her jump, but this time was OK. Plus, we were on the bed.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Mayor Lovers: Thank you all so much for loving and caring for our Mayor. He is such a delicate soul. We are just coming off the worst weekend of his life with the 4th of July. (Lets not forget the bomb)! But, there is really no good time to get one’s teeth cleaned. Emma is up to bat within the next few months.

Chaps is still sleeping which is good thing because he will not miss his breakfast so much.

Chaps is in my spot. He usually likes to lay on my pillow. He is so cute it hurts! Little Emma will be a big help to her Mommy today. We are going to wash all of the bedding so the Mayor has a clean place to land when he gets home.

Well, I better get busy and ready myself.

PLEASE, TELL ME!

Well, the Mayor is getting his teeth cleaned tomorrow and also having the cyst removed from his tail area. Oh Lord, I won’t get a wink of sleep tonight. This is just the type of thing that will bring out the warts in a a worry wart like me!

The Mayor must have a proud tail. He can’t go around with a growth like that! He has an image and a tail to uphold!

OK, I was trying to make myself feel better. Sigh…….

Will you drool for him at about 10:00am our time?

“WHAT IS MY NEXT JOB?”

LOL – My friend Lisa was over today to help me with my website and some graphic design. Her son works for me in the summer and this year he will have his license and will be able to work more. This will be much to Chaps and Emma’s chagrin because we are going to do a few more baths now that I have the help of a young man!

Anyway, here he is, my Brandon!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Comic Strip Lovers: I am starting a new category to place all of ONE comic strips in. LOL

This is the first strip I did……which I am using for the header. My graphic designer and friend is over today helping me set up the header.

I hope to do many more! I get my ideas from the Mayor and his Wisenheimer Wisdom!

He is an endless supply of fun!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Corgi/dachshund mixes lovers! This is just too much fun as you can see from LuLu and her Mommy going to K-Mart to purchase a soft measuring tape for gathering official basset hound town ear measurements! As you can see, LuLu loves to ride in the cart like any other kid!

After they got home it was a fight to the finish. Her Mom states,

“Lulu was incredibly hard to get to sit still for the pictures. My husband took about 50 other blurry pictures of the wild thing resisting her measurements. We thinks she is embarrassed they aren’t as long as most bassets but she is still growin’!”

LuLu checks in with the very precise measurement of 8.214387 inches! I am still enjoying that detail!

One more for the record books, that is until she re-submits her measurements after she is fully growed up! hehehe

Next up for our ear measurement pleasure is Bodacious Brutus.

Mommy states, “Brutus enjoyed the measuring because it required no effort on his part. Brutus enjoys it when he can just lay down and be touched. (also it looks as if his ear is being stretched but I assure you it is not. It is actually resting on the rolling cooler)!

Thank you for that assurance Trisha! Here is the big guy with his submission of 7.5 inches!

Now moving on to Jaws! Drum roll please………….JAWS! Not to be out done this corgi/dachshund mix wants to go down in history!

His Mom states, “He was dumped off at one of my Dad’s construction sites and I thought he was so cute so I kept him. My parents live on acreage and have a few dro offs in addition to their bassets. I have had Jaws for almost 9 years. He used to
bite my nephews and drew blood on me the first time I met him so I named him
Jaws. He has since lost all of his teeth except four of them so the name
doesn’t fit so well now!”

Oh Jaws, we love you all the same in bassethoundtown! Show us your stuff!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Rump Roast Lovers! OMG you all know I am one of those. I had to share this vintage photo of Chloe (on the left) and Lily in my bathroom. This is where I had several water bowls. I really miss my girls. That is what I called them. “The girls”.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Clean Boy Lovers! I just had to share this picture of the Mayor that I took about 5 years ago. I think it was the first bath that I gave him after I picked him up. (Click for more better cleanliness details) LOL

A friend of mine is starting a business for training and grooming dogs. I am sure it is more than that but it is just in the beginning phases. She asked me if she could use this picture on the grooming room door. OMG! How cute would that be? Of course I told her yes. I will help her with the image and getting it printed on a larger scale like the car magnets I did. Oh Mayor, you really reach the masses. Now you will help your public be clean! Hehehehe
