Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Proper Prior Planning Lovers…

OK, here is the plan for the residents of bassethoundtown.  The time will be here before you know it to submit a senior basset to Senior Hounds Abound Calendar Contest.  I have made an executive decision (along with the baby Mayor) and picked Colby Chaps (the late Mayor Chaps son) as our Senior 2014 submission.  This submission will not be sent in until sometime early September but I want to get some feed back.  What picture shall we submit?

This one?

Colby Chaps Mead will be 11 years old on September the 9th, 2013.

So pick your favorite and let me know in the comment section.  I have mine but I am not saying yet.  I don’t want to influence anyone because I am the grandmother and paying his entry fee….hehehe

More voting now and later…Cat, Daisy Lynn (Chaps and Emma ATB each proud to win a month while of this earth….

Can we do a collage of all 3? I love them all! I love his expression in all pictures especially number 3. But don’t really like the glare of the light in the picture in the background. I like picture number 2 because I think he looks good in that chair on the blanky.

What a wonderful idea! I love them all, but I think #3 is just a little more sweeter looking. In fact VERY SWEET and ADORABLE TOO!!

That’s a tough decision, but if I can only select one picture. I choose Picture #3.

Also, fellow residents, there are 12 months of course so any Senior Hound Resident should enter as well. We all don’t have to just vote for one. Let me know if you enter your Sr. Hound and I will show case that resident as well. Colby Chaps will be our “Official” representative;)

Please keep your votes coming in and I will run this until the entry date. I will just do some reminders from now until September.

I vote for #2. I love the way he looks so royal in the recliner. I don’t like the shadows in photos 1&3.

Cindy – I think that Wen of SHA wants a large face shot but a collage would be adorable!

I like 3 the best but do not like the glare. I am picking #2 and will support Colby Chaps this year. We were so fortunate that Bumper won the January calendar spot this year and we will cherish this forever. Bumper is also 11 years old.

Wow! Thank you everyone for all of the votes. Looks like number 3 is ahead but voting is not over yet. I wonder if one hound has ever won two months? Hum……better not push our luck!

Have a great day everyone and make sure to stop and smell the daisies!

1 says I’m a very serious canidate. 2 says I’m a dog of the people and relatable. 3 is sassy. I say 2

Hannah votes for number 2 and so do I. He looks so regal on his green blankie.

I like #3, but like some others, I think glare is distracting. Can you do some graphic design magic Cat to reduce the glare?

I’d really like to see Colby Chaps be on Senior Hounds Abound calendar. Like father, like son.

Wow, thanks to everyone for all of the comments and votes. I am so excited about our very own Colby Chaps in the running for a month. I am taking notes on all of your comments regarding the glare on picture 3.

I left this up for awhile so I could capture all the views I could. Thank you and thank you some more….Love, Cat and Daisy Lynn…
